Several reasons why we won't win this game

-Paracki needs to start tracking back and helping when we lose the ball, I often forget he's on the field

-Vidosic has to try and put himself up for headers instead of trying to take it down and play with his feet

-Kaludjerovic is basically Totori, all pace, no skills. Ditto for Lewis Italiano

-Keegan Smith looks jaded. We should bring in a fresh face (Someone Young)

-We need someone to play like Alex rufer who'll take the game by the scruff of the neck and get involved. his long shots really strike fear into the opposition GK.

- Marco Rossi still can barely speak English, let alone Australian

-FFS! Why haven't the Nix started chartering flights to away games yet. A reasonable and practical solition

-I forgot Galloway was even on the pitch he was that Anonymous

Some Positives:

-Last week we looked solid at the back and hard to break down

-Abbas has been focused and composed

- won last week on YF tipping

- Crenulla Riots on the horizon

- Hamish Watson is always good for a goal or at least the trademark classy first touch. Reminds me of Marcos Flores

- all of Melbourne are still wanking to that codhill goal in his first derby so we might catch them napping (or something else to that effect).

-Our superb away record away in Melbourne.

Some Possible Solutions: (Transfers)

-Get that young (He looks young anyway) Smeltz kid in. I checked on Amazon and like nothing ships to Malaysia. He was really angry in one of his insta posts.

-Theres this Italian tennis player (Dabbles in football). Maldini or something. He plays tennis now. Just can't remember who he played for.

-Pogba. Swap deal for Weemac. I heard they were after him?

I think I need to lie down.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Abbas starting over Doyle is a surprise.

Hope Rossi has a good game.

Happy to see WeeMac in a wider role, I think that is where he is best suited. Hope Matty has a big game, he was over run against Sydney

really glad that Darije is persisting with Smith! Throwing keepers in the deep end really does work compared to outfield players

Looking forward to tonight's game.

A little surprised to see Ridenton still starting - really hope this run of games develops him into the player the NIX and NZ needs.

Commentator just said Abbas is making his first start for the Nix...

Sigh

Pre-game guys all thought Phoenix having a chance was hilarious. Commentators more reasonable.

Yeah I thought that was weird considering our performance against the defending champs last week. But then I remembered they were Fox pundits

Seemed to think only reason Phoenix were close was Sydney complacency, which is unfair on both sides.

And he said it again. FFS it was only two weeks ago.

We are looking decent though

There's a Wellington barber who must be making some decent coin off Roy this season.

Keegan is just standing there doing nothing, silly boy, should be using all the spare time on his hands to get some study in.

Thought he was MOTM against WSW but he's got worse each game, better than Mullen at fullback i guess

What I'm finding impressive is how quickly we win back possession when we do lose it. Parrotski is doing an epic job in the middle of the park

Him and McGlinchey have been absolute workhorses so far. Paracki winning, McGlinchey distributing and getting everything going. Hopefully we score before they do :)

Yeah, that's the point isn't it. Citeh 3 shots on goal to our 2. I hope Kaledzic isn't the European Declan Edge: "never mind if we don't win a game, count those completed passes!!!"

Aren't you just saying "count those shots!" though? Neither team has scored yet, which is actually the point isn't it?

Looking like Abbas over Doyle was a dodgy decision for me

Permalink Permalink

But DAMN does Keegan Smith look the sexx with the ball at his feet. I'm not sure I've seen a top-level Kiwi keeper play like that ever.
