McGlinchey stuffed that up. Poor pass, but probably wrong option anyway.

Inevitable. It's a cruel game!

How do we not set up a decent wall with McCormack about to strike it.

Smith to blame for poor placement of the wall?

we be had some great touches that could have seen the back to the net.

Honestly - Krishna should stick to his strengths - running the wing, beating his player and crossing ... not trying to play quick clinical passes in the mid...

Inexperience is why. Unfortunately without an A League level keeper we'll have to get to used to this kind of thing.

the commentators last week and this week have thrown me off.  They sound like they are being fair on the Nix.

Pretty much. Inexperience really. Poor wall placement and tbf he should've got to that.

Abbas, Kalu and Vidosic a little wasteful with good attacking opportunities

FFS, an excellent performance, the better of the game, a moral victory and precisely nothing to show for it.

Can't believe we didn't score. Kaludjerovic had his first really poor game, I thought - how did he not at least bury one?!

that last thirty three mins I thought we played quite well really. Other than the crap defending for their goal.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Free kick should never go in. We can't score. Stupid loss.

Ah well. Away to City and Away to Sydney are games we expect to lose no matter how well we are playing. Positives to take out of both games, I thought. We're playing well.

Despite the loss, this is the first time three games into the season I feel as though we are going to go into future games against all opposition without looking like we will just be chasing shadows. This sort of organised play takes a while to gell, I can understand the frustration at a lack of pre-season. Still positive.

poor attacking options. Krishna, our best goal scorer, too wide. Abbas and Vidosic shooting from distance too much on our best chances. Still, another game and that may have gone right. Wanting it to start going right soon.

Some poor delivery from Galloway too, to start with.

Strong work, but poor intent up front.

Kalu should have done better with his opportunity to feet.

Still promising start. If this is City and Sydney, I hope we start putting some results together against the weaker teams

Reckon on another day we win that 3-0. Just one of those days.

It's nice to look organised at the back, even when our best CB goes off and our 2nd best CB is injured.

Keegan Smith deserves a whole heap of praise as well - made a good 1on1 save late in the 2nd half and was generally a lot more commanding than the last 2 weeks. Perhaps could've done better for the free kick (went to go the wrong way and couldn't recorrect fast enough) but that can happen to any keeper. Was a fair hit.

Unlike similar losses last season, I don't feel distraught at the end of it...Small victories.

When a FK is flying like that and goes in off the base of the post - yeah I don't think many keepers are going to have a chance. The setup for defending the FK was strange though, surely they've seen video of RM attempting the exact same thing in other matches this season?

very very frustrating game. Should of scored. Should have won. On paper before the game you probably would take a draw or expect a narrow loss. After the game disappointing we didnt get the win.

Where was the wall for the free kick??

Keegan Smith has grown in confidence and will keep getting better. He is yet to make a genuine howler

We deserved at least a point from this if not all three. Shame we come home empty handed but if we play like this every week we'll be in the top 6

Vidosic ------ Finkler ------- Weemac

---------------- Krishna -------------------

I reckon this will get the most out of the front four. You could argue that Vid is kinda wasted out wide, but Krishna makes a bigger impact down the centre. Shame, with the lineup we had today we could annihilate a CCM or Glory

A lot of our team played really well today individually (Mullen, Abbas, Paracki, Ridenton, Weemac, Vidosic), but even better was the team play: patience, confidence, tracking back when it hurts. How unlucky to hit the post and have the rebound saved. AK could have scored three, and should have got at least one, Abbas nice shot saved....
A moral victory.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet
