who's going to score our next goal? Who is guna score the most out of Singh, Nichols and Burgess? Beginning to think Burgess coming good is essential to Rudan's plans this year.

And when is the first game that Sarpreet is just guna dominate?

any predictions for Fox's season?

I'm mostly stoked about everything to do with the club at the moment, but I feel a little uneasy about this at the moment. I'm worried if he is benched all season he'll leave and become a very good centre back. Sort of like Boxall I guess. But no, I really want to see him given game time, but I also don't want Dura out of the team because he's been brilliant at the moment.

I hope he ll look at Rudan and Taylor, and see that this is a fantastic place to learn defending. He'll get a chance at some point- just hope he grabs it. Point of difference with Boxall was that he was an established pro. Fox isn't yet. Hope he will be by the end of season. Competition for places eh?

In the long run Fox will be a much better bet. Two games in and 25 to go.

Checked the forecast, looks like we'll have the wind, the rain, and the Phoenix.

Rudan has suggested he is going to try something new for tomorrow's game and take more risks. Might we see 4 at the back? Maybe Nichols or Burns starting? Who would be the unlucky one to drop out?

Where did he suggest this? Is it in an article anywhere? (just interested)

I'd be very surprised to see the back change at all; I'd expect Nichols to come in for Rufer as the change

Yeah I was intrigued by that too. Would seem odd if we switched any of the back 5 out, so it's surely a midfield change

Morning looks horrible but might be ok at kick off, fingers crossed.

Rudan said he'd try something different, take more risks. Could be a formation change, eg 4 4 2, or 4 3 3 with a wingback playing forward.

Thoight on tactics for WSW?

We haven't beaten WSW since the 2015-16 season, but I note that until two weeks ago we hadn't beaten Adelaide since the 2015-16 season.

We basically haven't won a game since 2015 so it's all onwards and upwards! :)

Since its Dura's 250th, maybe we should do a minutes applause/standing ovation in the 22nd minute for him?

Listened to the RBB pod. They seem to like to refer to us as Nix Out, which obviously is really clever and witty. Also seems that they don't have much confidence in their squad, but all for some reason think they can comfortably beat us primarily based on last season. Hope we rip them apart on the counter tomorrow, really enjoying every team underestimating us so far

That they are referring to us as Nix Out has made me even more fired up. Would love it if we stick it riiiiight up them.

Sound like right plonkers. A team that has had their success handed to them, while we've fought for every bit of ours.

I'm pretty sure that the RBB supported us during the save the nix campaign so I'd guess the Nix Out thing is just banter. And it's not surprising that they underestimate us and are basing it on last season - it's not easy keeping up with every team when you're in prison.

Its become the A-League version of Wenger Out, for most people its said in jest but some people do really hold that belief.

One of the problems with that sort of banter is that the ones who do it because it's a bit of a laugh can't easily distance themselves from those who are 100% serious and fudgeing weird about it too.

This applies to a lot of ironic banter tbh.

Ah, the RBB.  The A-League's version of the French military commanders in late 1939.

GAME DAY! We have the wind, we have the rain and we will be watching the Phoenix win but we will also still be collecting for Wellington City Mission.

So please donate food and/or cash to the collectors on the concourse leading into the stadium and help out this great organisation that helps others in need.
PS you can also keep your donation dry and donate at either the Backbencher or Four Kings before the game today.

The selfish side of me doesn't mind that, I'm going to make it down to the next home game on the 24th, hoping the $10k for 10k promotion is still going on by then, would make a good dent in the ol' student loan ;)

Fire up though! Tonight will be an intriguing one, hoping Roly's feeling some nostalgia and scores a stunner for the Nix.
