Have the Nix ever been on the right end of a VAR decision?

I'm over Jason Pine a bit too now, too much prattle.

Better than Raf?

we can complain about the amount of free kicks the referee has given or we can wonder why we are giving away so many free kicks with stupid fouls?

I think it's 6-0 against us in 4 games, plus the fake offside call

Oxborrow should be off. Niggling all match, plus the huge push he did right in front of the ref should have been a yellow by itself. Khalfallah's done a full season of diving tonight too. (god i sound like a salty old man)

Typical Phoenix. In the 2nd half, we've just gone back to how we played last year - hopeful long balls, no stamina in the middle (Paracki invisible), easy dispossessed, easily pushed over, provoked into fouls. A combination of no discipline; of looking surprised that the other boys are playing rough; and of not really wanting to win. The cynically awful refereeing doesn't help but I'm calling it this early - Kaledzic is not going to meld this shower into playoff contenders. The club culture is just rotten.

I was just thinking at 75 minutes that this smelt very much like the Glory game at QBE last season. I was amazed they didn't score at 80, and not amazed at all that they scored at 82.

My lasting memory of this game will be Dane Ingham's smile as he shoved Krishna over with no repercussions, like a teenager who just stole a little girlś lunch money. No wonder Hudson likes him, he's a bully.

Compare the non foul on Krishna with anything they were awarded including the pen. Let's hope we can finish this

I'm wondering too, but the refereeing has been absolutely shocking and not in our favour - you've got to admit

there has been a few questionable ones, but there has been plenty where you just ask why? (of the Nix players not of the referee)

Raf doesn't articulate well but I think he is a very perceptive comments man.

We're not going to finish Top six if Keegan is in goal for all 27 games. My balls, my word.

Hey, none of the goals were his fault and he saved a couple of corkers. Him and Paracki MVPs again.

Well that was disappointing to say the least.

I blame the coach, who up to point I have been very impressed by. The team came out trying not to lose and sat back waiting to conceed.

Brisbane got robbed. How that was a foul on Keegan I'll never understand.

He might be a bully but he is a very poor excuse for a footballer.

Some win ugly would be ok

Should have closed out the first half

A huge part of the problem was the relative inexperience in the defensive line against the ancient men of the Roar. Most of what the Nix have been doing well is recycling the ball through the back four when in possession to open up space and give the midfielders more time on the ball. Macarone and BKF shut that down expertly, we really missed Durante or Rossi today.

Can't tell if you are being serious or not?

I think Keegan will be disapointed with all three goals, he is a kid that writes down every goal he concedes and tries to find ways to stop it happening again, fault isn't really something GK's worry too much about - they want to save everything regardless.

Oh come on that one was obvious, McKay jumped into Smith with his head down and the ball no where near him.

Don't think Smith was at fault for any of the goals.  Potentially the second he left a bit to much to do at the near post in the setup, but it was a good bending free kick over the wall.

He's getting better every game.  Don't think Italiano is much of an improvement.

This game could have been the game that gave us momentum, now, we lost all our confidence.

He was standing there before the free kick was taken yelling Right Right Right and the wall still moved to the left as the free kick was hit.

Why did we not buy a good keeper in the off-season? Embarrassing.

Beiing a keeper myself I 100% agree with that. The point I was making is that - while Keegan again showed inexperience and nerves - it's not his fault the team blew a 3-0 lead. He could have done nothing better to prevent that.

I hate it when that happens. But is it another consequence of his youth - that is, the defence don't listen to him because they think they know better?

Throwing away a 3 goal lead is pretty unforgivable really. Roar were absolutely terrible first half and we should’ve had more.

I don’t think Smith is terrible or anything, I just don’t think he’s the answer at this stage. Doesn’t really instill much confidence. Probably at fault for the second goal too. Whether Italiano is the answer is another matter though, I’m not sure.

We didn’t create nearly enough second half, 1-2 chances at best.
