That would be so great. The Victory Muscat can carry on gobbing off at the match officials. I can see him spending a lot of time in the stands.Sometimes teams play great in the first game under a new boss but Ange wasn't fired as per the normal situation.

There will be no smoking, will be tight I say 2-1 king carlos with the late winner.

Speaking of Carlos - how will the Victory fans respond to him? Have a feeling they will give him a good welcome. Will soon be tempered when he scores a scorcher though! :)

if we could put 1st half vs roar + 2nd half vs wanderers together against the victory, we could come away with our first win.

its going to be a long weekend and then if I stick to my routine of in bed by 9.30pm I will miss Monday nites match..or second half if I stay up lol.

Last overseas Nix jaunt was for the Sydney semi and being with the Nix supporters before the game with some lively song made for an even better occasion. Fingers crossed for a better result this time

same - I like that line up...in reality you'd see fenton dropping back, and we'd be playing something like a 4 3 2 1.   And you'd expect big questions would be asked of that left hand side....cunningham/reira/bertos

Well if you are trumpeting that line up, you've obviously not been watching the last 2 weeks and the changes Ernie has had to make.

its just an opinion :>), not a pick the team winner and it wasnt a trumpet..and yes i have watched all 3 games.  It needs more flow from back to front with some attacking flair other than Carlos in middle.so its one option.

Difficult task to win in Melbourne but hoping the boys will do it.

I enjoyed my trip to Napier but hoping we will defeat teams like that in the future.

I reckon based on ricki's comments we are gonna see a stacked midfield. Riera definitely to start. With muscat and 1 of Lia or Hicks in there too.

Toss up between which two start in front of Carlos. Not sure if the pairing of stein and brockie works for me but I'd give it one last shot. I quite liked Ifill off the bench.

So depending on Fenton's return, I think we could see:

Leo Siggy Dura Caira

Ifill, Kenny, Fenton, Hicks

Bench will be interesting to see whether Boxall stays.

Not the biggest 4312 fan but it definitely solidifys the midfield and allows the fullbacks to press forward and be the outlet for width.

Muscat signed as head coach for the Victree for the next 2 years. Wow. And everyone accuses the nix of thuggish play, i think we'll be seen as sweethearts once he gets his way with them.

As long as we get a hold of the midfield, I think we are in with a shout.

Matthew Gillett has been appointed as the ref for the game. Nix are W2 D1 L2 under him.
