Hell yeah! Best performance since the 14/15 season for me. Roy obviously brillant and Singh very good but Dura and Taylor were incredible and Fenton and Cacace superb on defence as well. Whole team was hugely up for this one and gave it everything. The look of disappointment when they conceded summed up the belief. Fantastic to bounce back from an unlucky result last week. Mariners better watch next week!

Very impressive. And even more so given it's backing up a great performance last week, with improvements, and away from home.

If we can keep up performances even close to that level, we can have a fantastic season.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. We've looked good this season in all the games I've seen - just been on the wrong side of luck, bounce, refs etc. Its a tough league and anyone can win on a given day - especially with vagaries of luck, bounce, refs etc. It went our way today for a change. Roll on next week I say!!! Just beware though - the Mariners could be a banana skin. It wouldn't be the first time. Hope Roy is OK. Geez he celebrated NZ citizenship in the best way possible I reckon - hopefully a sign of things to come for our latest kiwi!

singh is having a blinder tonight, releasing the front men beautifully.

Probably the best game I've seen from him. He just needs to be a little stronger on the ball but he is improving in that department too.

I disgree Singh is very good on the ball. Compared to Burns on the ball Singh is an Ox

That was sensational. We schooled them. Apart from the last ten where we started booting it we controlled things start to finish.

Kopa has been a real key to our changing fortunes IMO. His ball playing from the back has been great.

also it's super impressive that the team included Singh, Cacace, Rufer, Fenton, Sail and Krishna who all went through the NZ system. It's interesting to me that Max Burgess, who is apparently the best in his position in Australia below the A League is miles below Singh. There is talent in NZ!

On his last couple of performances think there are some who may have made their call on him a little early.

So that wasn't too bad, eh? Watched in a pub before going to the Vuc game. All the Vuc fans were honorary Nix supporters for the 90 mins.

Have to say;  after that loss to Adelaide - this was absolutely the last thing I expected from games against two of the best teams in the comp. Credit to Rudan, and credit to the team for turning this around.

I feel like the players have shown Rudan that they can be trusted to play football.

Let's hope Krishna and Cacace are okay (thought Cacace was very good) and we can carry on this momentum,

One point that I don't think will be brought up much - Kurto, as good as he is, 99% of the time punts aimlessly forward with his kicks. Sail I feel is a hell of a lot more measured, and it's helped when building our attack. Will be interesting if Kurto comes back in what the impact is.

Just had a quick re-watch - Fenton looked piss off at the end. I reckon it's because he knows he has done his shoulder again. He was holding it.

Also, Krishna got a knee in the back of his injured hammy at around the 36th min mark from Brillante; I would assume it's just a cork that got worse over the course of the game. Should be OK.

Real treat to watch that. Lets hope the form continues.

Taylor was MOTM for me, worked tirelessly, excellent commanding at the back, really showed his experience.

Burns for all the stick he gets on here, was vital to a lot of our build up play - even if he's not scoring. Shame he took a heavy touch.

Singh's passing was excellent, his shooting... not so much. Something for him to work on, right idea, but he keeps flapping at it.

Krishna looked like he'd done his hammy - so that's at least 4 weeks... probably closer to 6 though. Great to see him get a double.

Not trying to take away from a great performance, but Fenton for me is a real weak link.

Onwards and upwards.

I thought we'd established that part of the problem is that many top locals either don't want to go pro; or don't want to play for the Nix

The way Krishan controlls that bounce on the second goal is just master class.

Best Nix performance in years. I've always been proud to be a Nix fan regardless of results but this just feels so special. Mark Rudan, I thank you.

I'm dubious it's that cut and dried, Rudan has said that players signed from nzfc need 12 months to get up to speed, but he clearly doesn't think that about Aussie state league players. That's also going to affect the type of contracts that are offers to kiwi players.

Ernie signed all manner of players from that level (or below) and very few from NZ national league. We've also had a number of our own academy players that have passed through without many opportunities

So I do think it's a historical thing that we don't really trust NZ players

That might be the case recently but there has been a long time where we were bringing in Aussies and so locals had to look elsewhere. Hard to blame them for continuing down those routes once they became established ( the routes).

But isnt it just that "cut and dried" Rudan has stated he WANTED to sign more Kiwis but they turned him down for various reasons. Not sure what you expect him to do he has made it clear he wants to sign some more Kiwis.Maybe Rudan is signing Aussie players because the Kiwis he WANTS dont want to sign. There is no way he should be taking players just because they are Kiwis they need to fit what he is trying to do.

Off all I would have expected Football Today to not mention the Nix won as they rarely mention
