What selection can we field? Will Galloway recover? Will Fox recover? Will Keegan's Smith get his NCEA work done in time?

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

What's up with Doyle? Will Lowry make the squad? Will Roy play?

Will Roly celebrate if he scores? Will Hamish Watson make an off-side-riddled cameo? To be or not to be?

Can we win again? Will Krishna be there? What kit will we play in?

DK doesn't want two left footers in the heart of defence & seems Doyle is behind Abbas for the LB spot, so he will be back up to Rossi in the near future.

Traveling squad, probably. Playing squad, depends on Galloway's injury I guess

I can't seem to find any information about the squad Fiji has selected for their Estonia game atm.

Pretty sure Fox is out for a while.

Said he is going for a scan today, so guess he at least won't be back for this weekend and then it is just a matter for how long.

Doyle didn't play because Kalezic wants a L/R CB combo. No other reason.

We get to keep Roy!!!

Reddy also indicated that they would miss the services of Roy Krishna for this crucial clash.

“Roy Krishna will not be playing as according to FIFA we can’t bring players that are contracted outside the transfer window so eventually we cannot pressure Wellington Phoenix to release him.

I hope that set fear into the WSW fans. They won't be able to do the Poznan as they'll be looking over their shoulders, biting their fingernails.

two offside goals disallowed against us v Perth and a goal gifted by Perth passing to Krishna

and we offered a near post error and a goalie hand ball in the area

WSW won't be so wasteful

so a big mid table clash for us, after a rough start;

we can't afford to give up two easy goals for this one

Keogh was at least several metres offside for each of those that were disallowed though, it's not like it was even close. And it was the Nix pressing that caused the defensive errors Perth were making. We did allow them to become ascendent in midfield for too long though by giving the ball away too easily, that's my only concern.

That was a great coordinated offside trap for the offside goals too. Those are examples of our defenders doing their job, not the opposite

I don't disagree with that.  But my point is we gifted a couple of goals and but for split second timing for a couple of offsides the game could have been a lot closer.  And we had Perth on the big travel.

It's a great result.  But I wouldn't be getting carried away yet.  We need to be good enough to do it again this week.  Perth are a mid table team, nothing more.  At least with that starting side.

But like I said after the Jets game, we are better than we looked in that one, especially with a few players back from injury.  So, Rossi made a decent difference this week.  And the whole team showed great character and worked hard.  Positive signs.

But Perth were not great.  5-2 was a bit flattering imo and the measure will be whether we can consistently get wins or at least points against sides like Perth AND WSW.   Gifting two to WSW won't be as easy to get back.  'Cause they are not going to be as defensively frail as Perth.

Agreed.

WSW are one of the only two unbeaten teams (the other one being the Jets) this season. While they've only won one game, they've lost none and drew five. Their goal balance is +1.

I would take a draw from the game and consider it a good result.

It is not their attack that worries me, it is their defence.

We have the second best attack in the comp so far this season so should do well against WSW.

Interesting to see that Fiji have basically branded their NT...I don't think I've seen this happen at international level before...

Also feel for them a bit as they don't get to play meaningful friendlies very much, so not having Roy there will be a huge disappointment...and our gain in the end.

My question is why did they organize a game outside of a sanctioned FIFA window?? Which makes me think Estonia are probably going to bring a second-string team to Fiji as surely their professional won't be involved...

Only 76.7% of the time, though...

An Estonian on Reddit said it was a C side - fully made out of players in the Estonian league, so no big names like Klavan. Also mostly U21 players. So they’re not taking these games too seriously it seems

It's coming up to winter in Estonia. I'd want a holiday in Fiji punctuated by a couple of games of football as well.

Is it just me that would prefer Singh or Rogerson on the bench rather than Watto? I like Watson a lot and I want him to do well and get game time, but so far this season and most of last all he seems to bring is lethargy and offsides. Maybe getting dropped from the bench in place of one of the younger guys might make him step up his game
