Victory playing against road cones

Entire defence should be put out to pasture

Good on us for still trying to win this.

Really? We are at home, at the foot of the table, against another team not in the playoffs.  If we don't try and go for the win in that situation, when do we?

Can someone please tell me why: When we kick off we hoof it forward and give away possession?

Continuing a long and ignoble tradition of late losses.

That's a big effort from Victory to pull three goals back in the second half.

Still, an even game, considering. Some lucky escapes for both teams and the rest was just luck.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

We love blowing a lead.

Oh yay Watson's on. This'll give the linesman something to do.

At this level, is it too much to expect a proper pass at least 90% of the time? (Serious question)

yes your expecting too much - I think across the team an average of between 70% and 80% would be good.

Some of the better passers might sit high 80%'s but yeah (at least) 90% is a dreamworld.

I ask because I usually only watch the Nix and whoever they are playing

Ref a prick. No foul for the tackle on Roy that has seem him jogging around. No cards for their slow down fouls.

Edit: and the ref has a laugh at insult to injury to Krishna

Sad truth is we are crap.

Not sure Krishna deserved a yellow there. Looked an accidental clip.

Not an even game at all, Victory far and away the better side

Sarcasm detector overactive? Just bad luck that MV scored straight afterwards.

Five more minutes of this nail-biter.  Will we score? Will we score at the correct end?

We deserve to be bottom sadly. Hard to see it getting much better with away trips coming up.

With this squad we should not be bottom. Poor coaching, or just a Wellington mindset that will never change?

tab odds at half time would have still been $1.01

Pine "...the Victory are back".  It's either that, or, more likely, we are just terrible.

for me, our weakest link is our keeper. Get a better one and we are laughing I think. Wonder what Moss is doing?

Sorry, to depressed to pick up sarcasm.

i'd say the coaching is piss poor. In both games we have been up we have blown leads due to defensive tactical changes. Probably doesn't help that several of our players are either playing below their skill level or dont care.

Better individually, yes. Not quite gelling as a team though.

This is strange as they are largely the same players as the least few seasons.

Possibly something not quite right in the dressing room.

Having seen a lot of all the other teams this season our position on the table is a completely accurate reflection of our quality. It's pretty frustrating that once again it's all going pear shaped.

Krishna needs to get a man of the match today, by my reckoning.

Berisha has butchered 3 easy chances.  We could easily have conceded 6 tonight, 7 if the offside pass was played half a second later and Galloway got goal side of the attacker in the VAR situation.

We concede so many chances every week - we have coughed up a 2-0 and a 3-0 lead.  It's getting harder and harder to do this every week.

Well as others have said We got given one or two get out of jail cards, but even that didn't help.

Krishna was from his best. Hampered by a  injury. No one really deserves MOM

Roy and Doyle men of the match for me. Sharkhouse gets 1 pt. Feel Sorry for AK whom is doing his job on crumbs and Vidosic whom is not played in his best position (I think)

If Finkler goes, sign a GK and one that has a clue

Victory had about 5 or 6 clear cut chances (as in right in front of goal, I could bury them myself)

Should've been a thrashing.

This team is poor.

- Ridenton is not good enough to be an A-League starter

- Paracki hasn't had a good game since the first two weeks

- Italiano and Smith are not starting A-League keepers

- Durante shouldn't be anywhere near the First XI.

Kalu, Krishna, Doyle and to a lesser extent Vidosic can hold their heads high. The rest? Not so much.  Though weeMac was good until he got injured.

If you're not being sarcastic, this is the most insanely idiotic comment I have ever read from you. In Italiano I trust. You need an angry, strong goalkeeper in your side. He is very much that. It's that defence that is the issue. None of those goals were Italiano's fault at all.

The Kingz, the Knights, now the Phoenix.

Why would the FFA want a team from NZ in the A League after this display??????

This won't be the last embarrassing display from the Phoenix, so this display isn't necessarily that notable.

If it all stays the same, this could be the last season you and we have to put up with this weekly stress.

Love your optimism. I thought we had another two years on our license after this
