Was there any? I guess there was as i heard the Podcast and assume Piney wasn't commentating to just to have 3 mins of commentary to add to the Podcast.

I was coming home from a family function about 4:05pm, desperately trying to see the kick off, and turned on the radio to hear the start of the game, but Radio Sport had an NRL game and ZB had whatever the NPC Rugby game was. I live in Ch-Ch, there didn't seem to be any Radio coverage???

Radio Sport had internet commentary on their website, had league on the radio

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Hey Dougie - Radio Sport made the decision to take the NRL instead of the football nationwide.  In Chch, they opted for the Air NZ Cup match because Canterbury were in it.

To be honest, the same will probably apply next Sunday when the NRL playoffs are on, but beyond that, most home games should be on the Radio Sport nationwide network (apart from when they clash with Air NZ Cup rugby).

Regardless, Newstalk ZB Wellington will broadcast all games in full.  PM me if you need more details.

cheers,
