lia - best season in yolks, not worth keeping regardless

muscat - poor, inconsistent, not good enough

boyd - great promise, will go well in future

hernandez - pass mark but only just for the season

kenny - exciting, moments of magic, a good find

hysegems - slow, scored goals, but overall shite

brockie - mud, would a central league club pay him?

Obviously. Brockie is a class finisher (as proven tonight when it didn't matter).. but he has been out of form this season. 16 goals last year and 9 the year prior. I don't know too many central league strikers with that A-League record?

Don't agree with you about Moss. Boxall is only OK  Hysegems is not shit, but the rest I reckon you are spot on.

Are you Melbourne in disguise?

For a loss that was alot of fun. Yellow fever is brilliant

Highlight of the match was the Fever kids doing the conga across to the Victory supporters. Just shows how miserable our fuckin season has been. Godspeed you incredible bastards. Godspeed.

Was just me tonight but hooked up with RedGed and Mrs RedGed and became a hooligan for the night.
Was a fun experience (unless I happened to look at the pitch).  Great when Brockie scored too!

Man we have a lot of problems. Genuinely need to look at the whole organization from the top down. I think theres a massive lack of direction and ambition at the club. Really just the fans standing up for the shiry

I reckon if great a league gives us a proper extension the the owners get the stadium built then that will help alot.

If they are making some scratch then they can put some proper money into the squads development.

Just my thoughts

Why wasn't waffles on? Was it just a statement by Merick? Because it didn't work.

I'd be willing to excuse this season because it's Ernie's first and we got smashed by injuries, but a few things worry me. Why did we sign Krishna to 2 more years then drop him to the bench? Why did Brockie start the last few games? Why did Stein not come on today? Why did we continue to play the same tactics when they clearly weren't working anymore (since the 5-0 loss to the Heart)? It feels like Ernie and the club gave up weeks ago.

I enjoyed myself at the game tonight but that was in spite of what was going on on the pitch, not because of it.

First time in my life I nearly walked out of a Nix game. The penalty and sending off was nearly the tipping point.

Pleased I stayed....just for the LOL's. The conga line to the Victory supporters was brilliant. As was the "always look at the bright side of life" etc. Take a bow everyone involved....it was f**kin brilliant!!!!!!

You just have to sigh and shrug your shoulders now....and hope for better things next year. Such is the often turgid life of a football supporter.

I agree Conan but next year we need better reserves, smashed by injuries was unfortunate but it happens.

We needed to find a good replacement for Riera the moment he was out.

Well, that basically seals it. The spoon is ours for yet another season.

NZ media only care about the final ladder position, so if WSW can stay here, we're not nearly so shit.

All things considered, Brockies goal was awesome.

It was a great volley, but he's done so little this season to deserve commendation that it smacked of a constipated child finally making kaka.

Kaka would be an awesome marquee signing. We should be so lucky.

Stein did nothing last season. Maybe Brockie will be back next season? This will be his first real decent break from club football in a while.

Brockie is one of the cleanest striker of the ball in the A-league.

That goal was classic Brockie.....give he lots of time on the ball he can blast them in. However in the contest of the game it was the last minute, Victory were 4-0 up and playing against 10.....any other time he would have been marked in that position. Great goal, unfortunately it does not make for a very very average season. I have been trying to work out why he has been so bad this season. One moment in the first half summed it up. He was slipped a lovely ball by Carlos and was one on one with a CB.....Brockie tried to run around him but the big defender lumbered along and easily blocked him.....Brockie has no pace.....which is one of the reasons why he does not fit into Ernies game plan. How he has got so much game time this year is beyond me. We gave Krishna a two year contract.....buggered if I know why he has seen so little game time recently.....don't I know what Ernie sees in Brockie to repeatedly keep selecting him!!!

Brockie- scoring irrelevant classics since the year dot.
Top scorer in the year we got the spoon. Yet you never think of him as putting his foot on the ball and putting the game to bed.

Ok, I'll be your huckleberry. I'll venture Stein is goneskis. Will be signed to Sydney or Newcastle, or perhaps will look for another offer, not get it and come back to us. Has been cack since that contract negotiation talk.
Brockie has been starting because Ernie wanted to see if he could prove that he was capable of leading the line in an Ernie style game. Krishna is a known quantity for Ernie now, I think. Plus he is signed, so has nothing to prove in particular.  These changes were all about contracts and options for next season I think.

spot on horsie.. the shit thing is that most of them will be starting next year..

too many spankings this season.. and Stein was left out because he is bollocks, no right foot, cant header for shit and is slower than a retirement home sports day..

2nd top scorer, Daniel McBreen edged him by 1 winning the golden boot.

Good responses, but if that was the reasoning for them then Ernie/the club had given up on this season even when it was still well alive. Also doesn't explain why the tactics didn't change.
