REDDY FOR MARQUEE

Reddy beats any goalkeeper in the A-League this season.  Galekovic is class, granted, but if Reddy had played a whole season I think he'd have scooped the award ahead of him.

I love Reddy.

THE PEOPLE DEMAND STATISTICS

Unofficial, but Reddy conceded 8 in 9 games (counting today's game 9 goals in 10).

Crowther 5 in 2 games.

Paston 16 in 16.

Draw your own conclusions and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!

So from those stats i see not much between Paston and Reddy.

Is it possible to  both?

Ill speak on behalf of wellyphoenixfan then in saying...no he conceded 3 today. So thats 11 goals in 10 games...SO PASTON IS STILL BETTER AND IM GOING TO MARRY HIM ONE DAY AND HAVE HIS BABIES

Allegedly

Too late - he's married and he has a baby.  Are you going to be a stumpet marriage breaker?

Edit:  Anyway, there is a queue for that sort of thing.  get in line girlfriend!

If he stayed he would have to be Number 1 ahead of Mark Paston. He would not play back up so yes this may be an issue.

Not even a minor issue

Kalac just gave Liam Reddy big wraps on Fox Sports. Host listed Federici, Galekovic, Vukovich and Velaphi, Kalac straight away said one guy he would like to see more of is Liam Reddy. Big, strong, attitude, comes out for crosses has caught Kalac's eye.

Ifill also said on the same show that he thinks Reddy is leaving for other pastures but it's a shame that he is etc

But yeah, big wraps from Kalac - though the blokes only seen 3 or 4 games

Reddy=legend- but he wouldn't qualify to be a marquee. Not a big enough name, and/or not an international.

in the Ifill Fox Sports FC interview he seemed to allude to his departure.

Please remember folks that Paston is a quailty keeper as well . He can go and replace Mossy as the back up goal keeper for the victory

Andrew SaDville confirmed tonight on the news that Reddy had signed a 3 year deal with Sydney FC.

worst kept secret?

I heard on Radio Sport Monday with Miles when he was chatting to Reddy and Durante that it would be hard to keep him here.

Without a youth team (Sorry to bring it up again)
Keeping on another keeper would be silly.
It would cost us too much and we cant exactly tell Crowther or Pasty to f**k off and break their contracts.
With Bolty on his way out. Sydney would want someone with more experience than look in the state leagues.

Sorry to ruin the dream, But I don't think it was ever likely.Stefan2010-03-11 21:47:17

Just as long as he remembers which team he still plays for on Saturday.

Pasty had a workout at training yesterday, kicking the ball ok in his distinctive style. I didn't see everyones favorite player (Mulligan) yesterday but Ferrante looked ok in practice.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Would be ideal in my opinion, but extending Pason and Crowthers contracts shows its not going to happen.

If only the Fury would sign Moss/Paston so we can have a kiwi goalie starting!

I hate the fact that Moss has only been playing for tards yoof. Such a waste. I hope he gets a contract somewhere else

I'm a huge Reddy fan (even though he gave me the fingers when the Roar played here last year!!) But am I right in saying that he wasn't that good when he was at Brisbane?......

That's what I've been thinking. Must be something to do with team environment and feeling appreciated etc....
