Great comeback ...... funny story the wife and I found ourselves in Newcastle Friday night, went into a Newcastle pub with Mariners caps, and T- Shirts ..... should have heard the pub at 3 Nil would not least us leave ..... come on stay mate ......... Gave em heaps at 3 all and was screaming for a winner wife trying to clam me down, ....... nights end had some more beers and to get out in one piece held back on JG good night but and in good spirits.

....... I think this could be our year ........IMO as some others have said Jedi is the best mid in the league ........ Matty becoming the best striker and Danny when he is back argueably the best keeper but Moss gives him a run for his money ..........but better news of some possible new signing to shore our our back four

........Italian defender Andrea Merenda is on his way in, although he is unlikely to be signed in time for tonight's match against Adelaide United at Hindmarsh.

"We're looking at him on a short-term contract for the immediate future," Gorman said. "We've been extremely impressed with him in training and we expect to finalise something in the next few days. He's one of the best trialists we've ever had."

Gorman said he was also hoping to put an end to the confusion about whether or not Sheffield United's David Carney was available, saying he had emailed the Blades yesterday morning in the hope of receiving a definite answer.

...............BTW Andrea Merenda played in the national U 20 & 23 team I think so he must be not half bad and has been on trial for three weeks now....... if David Carney comes on loan from our sister club ........ well with  Caceres in centre mid, and with four strikers to pick from a good season lies ahead ....... also Heff and Grumpy back soon.
