All about the coups us.

Also expecting most of the non-AW's nix squad, and some unique Phoenix video footage.

I'm sure you chaps are.

Ahhh... Will try to get my flatmate to tag along, he should feel obliged, he did come to all matches with me last season the prick.

That's not prick. That is legend.

However it is prick if your flatmate is two-metres tall and insists on standing in front of you. That would make him a prick.

Bigtobz and Paulinho both have permission from their better halves to attend so we shall be there. Is the booze free?

How do you know I've got permission? Do whatever I want, I do. It's the other one that has the issues (cough Ryan Nelsen cough).

We're at mutual prick understanding toward each other

Me, him and another mate or two are hoping to get season passes in feverzone for first time since we started going to nix games which is back when it started.. all the way back when we were in college haha.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

He told some guy to stop bothering Dadi in Maya once, f**king legend for that.

Might be some free, will be discounted at the very least.

We're a little short on cash currently is the only reason why.

Reebok Yellow Fever Awards Night 2010

On Saturday night Yellow Fever's good friends The Backbencher Caf and Bar are hosting the Reebok Yellow Fever Awards Night.

This is the 3rd Annual event of its type and is a chance for Yellow Fever and Reebok to celebrate the Phoenixs fantastic season in the Hyundai A-League over the summer of 2009/2010. The evening will see the awarding of all the usual awards including the prestigious Yellow Fever Player of the Season and the Retro Ricki Youth Scholarship.

The Yellow Fever Player of the Season is selected by the Fevers fans who vote after each Phoenix match for their most valued player in that game. These results have been collated to get the overall winner for the season. Past winners are Shane Smeltz (2007/2008) and Leo Bertos (2008/2009).

The Retro Ricki Yellow Fever Youth Scholarship gives one lucky young footballer the chance to be a Wellington Phoenix player for a week. Last years winner Marco Rojas took that opportunity with both hands and turned it into his first ever professional contract, so it is an exciting time for the half dozen young finalists.

Apart from the excitement of the Awards, the Backbencher will have their big screen running with some special footage from the season. Therell be some food, a few drinks, and a bunch of Phoenix players and fans for you to catch up with. And, of course, therell be prizes from our excellent sponsors Reebok, RYOS and Euan McCabe. Big Ups too to our BIG friends VidCom and their star man Coxey.

So drag your team down after you've finished at the clubrooms (or get them together after the cancellation) as this is the essential way to kick off your Saturday night out. Proceedings kick off at 6.30pm.

I regret that I will be absent once more this year, despite being a HUGE YF fan. No its not because I'm scared of Feverish, Hn, Smithy or Marius giving me gyp about Oranje. I'm used to that. No I've had an unmatchable offer from 'er indoors. Go Kieran Vennema for the YF scholarship!( Future Oranje). And my vote for player of the year is Ifill, streets ahead of a quality field.

Piney is quite good on the game commentary but he is a terrible interviewer, he constantly asks closed questions after making a long statement himself that just beg for a yes or no answer. Really noticeable when he is interviewing younger folk he gets almost no response.

How is the ownership debated? I started that one fair and square on tour in Melbourne.

Very dark if someone else has claimed this.

Anyone want to guesstimate numbers for this evening (based on previous years)?.

Boss wants to know roughly how many people to cater for food wise.

Is that your estimate of people or the amount of meals you will consume???

It's f*kin cold.

It's f*kin wet.

So lets *all get drunk.

*This relates solely to those of legal drinking age and assumes responsible consumption of alcohol/s. The aftermath of said consumption may well differ.
