Anyone in the 'know' know how his trial at that second division US club went, and if he has a loan??

And if so, how he is going on that loan?

did a google news search for him.. got these

http://www.oursportscentral.com/services/releases/?id=3980002

"The Battery looked to be headed to a victory but late in the game defender Nigel Marples and goalkeeper Reece Crowther failed to clear a Montreal through-ball allowing Hicham Aaboubou to run through and tap home into an empty net."

http://www.live5news.com/Global/story.asp?S=12177006

"United doubled their advantage in stoppage time at the end of the half as Santino Quaranta was hauled down in the penalty-area.  Moreno chipped a shot down the middle after sending Battery goalkeeper Reece Crowther the wrong way."

seems he's playing, but seems like he is still causing nervous moments

So if he is trialling then are Ricki and Tony P willing to let him go??

Speculation if that happens who would be a good number two to Paston?

No, he's trying to (if he hasn't already) get a loan until start of the A-League season. So a three or four month deal.

Probably because he hadn't been getting any top level football lately. It cant be doing his confidence any good either.

Tammisaari IF's new football goalkeeper is 21-year-old Reece Crowther immediately from Wellington Phoenix in New Zealand. Earlier Crowther has also been part of English Crystal Palace and Queens Park Rangers organizations.

EIF has long been seen around for a goalkeeper and it was therefore Reece Crowther has already managed to be professional in five years. Now he leaves, however, for the moment the Australian league, which last year was six games, playing games in the Finnish Division 2.

- The major reason for this is that I want to get playing time. So far I have always been that "where the promising young reserve goalkeeper who must wait for their turn", but now I really need matches. In addition, this course a really big adventure for me, "said Reece Crowther yesterday in the day.

He had been in Finland for more than a day. To get here was definitely a big step into the unknown.

- I really know nothing about Finland. I thought that it would be much colder here, "he says.
Much experience
Otherwise, Reece Crowther their young age, despite having reached a lot in football. He was born in the U.S., but grew up in Australia and then moved to 16-year-old to London where he was part of the academies in the first Crystal Palace and then in Queens Park Rangers.

- It was an incredibly rewarding time that I definitely have great use of, Crowther says that since May 2009 represented the Wellington Phoenix to play in the Australian A-legaue.

There was, twelve games over two seasons. His contract runs also over the 2010-11 season.

- So I'm here for a while, but wherever I play, and for the team than I do, I'll do it with a professional attitude. It may never come to a match and think that it is better to advance, "he says.

Important thing
Given the track record it should almost two meters long Crowther be a clear gain for EIF's Division 2 team. After last year's Oscar Goalie Forsstrm and Nico Selenius joined EIF has now resolved the issue.

- Sure, this is an important thing for us and Reece should definitely keep the class. This is a solution that we have long campaigned for. We also saw what little there was for domestic goalies, but chose to do this, "said the EIF's manager Peter Haglund.

One small concern is the risk that Crowther did not play the season out of the EIF. Wellington Phoenix's season is already beginning in the fall.

- There is a possibility that Wellington would like to have him home in late August, but we know about now, and we may see. In any case we still have a solution for at least four months. Otherwise, we start to have everything ready by the team, "said Haglund.

New Law
Last night it was time for the first workout with the new team of Reece Crowther. Of course he looks forward to this season.

- Of course it always takes a little time to recover from a long trip, but otherwise I should be in shape and each other nor with any injuries. I look forward to playing for the EIF and Tammisaari seems like a nice city, "he says.

Series game starts about a month. Understandably Crowthers have as yet no clear picture of the relative strengths there.

- But I understand that the EIF has a good team and a goalie is always quite a task given. Just go in and try to keep the target site, "he says.

Want to move on
Eventually, however, Reece Crowther higher goals than Finnish Division 2 level.

- Of course I would play at as high a level as possible, but what I especially hope is to create a career that I can live on. Given it is this season important for me.

If Finland is the fifth player in the country Crowther, it is not impossible that Sweden - then his girlfriend comes - will be the sixth. If any team game time comes is a different matter, but in theory at least, he has greater chances of it than many others.

- I have American, British and Australian passports, and also, in theory, the opportunity to play for Ireland. But who would I play I do not know, it's probably more so that if someone would come and knock on the door so I would say "yes" on the fly regardless who it was, "said the EIF's new goalkeeper and smiles broadly.

He had been in Finland for more than a day. To get here was definitely a big step into the unknown.

- I really know nothing about Finland. I thought that it would be much colder here, "he says.

Has Jonathon Gould actually said that?
I don't rate Crowther having seen him play and not just on Sky T.V. I'm not a GK but his footwork and positioning are secondrate. Seen better keepers playing for school 1st X1s at nationals, never mind the NZFC keepers.

He played 25 games over there...sorry, not sure about goals conceded or results.  He said there were 9 professional players at the club while the rest were part-timers.
