We had some great refs last year. Usually the first half ref is best as he gets the crap kicked out of him in the 2nd half if he makes to many dud calls. Thats the advantage of playing in lower grades and supplying your own refs I guess.

Substandard would be a polite way. It must be a global thing as English refs can be tarred with the same brush, they're crap too.

Ranking order
1: I think Shield was by far and away the best referee in the comp (final aside) and he was voted Asian Confederation referee of the year and FIFAs top 10
2: Green was ok but was kinda hot and cold. Some days he had the balls to make the big calls, others he made some average ones.
3: Delovski was pretty good for a reserve ref
4: O'Leary didn't get many games but was ok with the ones he had (save a send off)
5: Breeze was rubbish so at least he was consistent which is a good thing.
6: Williams needs to stop trying to be the star of the show.
7: Zetter was just plain out of his depth
Pryzdacz was injured most of the season so hard to tell.

That's a fair summary of the refs Agent47. Personally thought Delovski looked the best, a cut above the likes of Williams, who I often wondered if he was on the payroll of whoever was playing against the Phoenix. Some of his stuff was disgraceful. Let's hope for less of that next season if he is still around.

I thought that they were pretty good, dont know where we would have been without them and hopefully there will be some turning up for this season.
I did notice that the worst ones were officiating in the games we lost.
