I don't know what Joe thinks of this, but I certainly wouldn't argue.

Thought the "cold shoulder" headline in the Dom was rather on the premature side. We shall see I suppose, but read like a headline looking for a story.

I don't know.  3,500 and only 200 renewed in the fortnight cheap window it would have me very concerned if I was Tony P.

Not surprised that Seaon ticket sales are slow. Tough times economically and the Phoenix have been off the radar for quite a while. The long off season and quiet preseason means that most people are not tuned into the A-League yet.

I am sure things will pick up once we get into August and it all kicks off. Does'nt help the clubs cashflow in the meantime though.

I am surprised the response has been slow. Personally I can't wait for the season to start and there is no question of not buying a season ticket. The expanded competition and new players surely should provoke plenty of interest. Confederations Cup should help get things moving.

If you had a ticket in the area that 'Yellow Fever' purchased last season and have not heard from Feverish or News, then we NEED to hear from you by tomorrow afternoon.

PM either Feverish or News an email address.  If we haven't heard from you by tomorrow PM we will have to assume you are doing your own thing.

Note, this is just if your ticket was arranged by Greene and News last season.

Being a Cantabrian I'm hoping to get up for one or two matches, also the game down here I'll certainly be attending with at least 5 chums.

Did people get stuff in the mail about season tickets? If not, it's hardly surprising people haven't renewed - they probably know nothing about it!

Exactly - bloody stupid for a family orientated club to stop offering a senior's concession.

Grand parents and grand kids going to watch the Nix together - how can that not be a good thing and something the club would want to encourage ?

Public sales haven't started yet so hopefully someone in the Nix will see sense and correct this f**k-up.

I am one of the few hundred people who have renewed their season pass.

And once we find enough dosh, closer to the time, my fiancee is going to get herself a brand new pass.

Thats the extent of my recruitment drive i'm affraid.

Tickitek up to their old tricks again.

Just tried to renew my tickets but have 1 less this season, no family pass and want to move seats but they told me they can't make any changes, just renew what I had last season.

The woman told me that is what they had been told to do as of today.

I've told her she needs to go away and sort it out and she has said that she will ring me back.

I expect I'll never hear from her again.

Common sense has prevailed.

She called me back, told me I can change my membership but it just won't be processed until next week. So I have to fax it in.

It's no wonder that people are not renewing when Ticketek make it so hard!

Thought the same thing but the head of marketing at the Nix emailed me to advise that as I had a senior ticket in my allotment last season, they would honour it for this season. However, they're not doing it for the general public sales.

They did apologise for the confusion!

Fairly ridiculous to not offer senior citizen tickets. Do they just expect these people to say "oh well, I will just have to pay the full price now then" without issue? These people are simply not going to bother, and as others have said this could have a knock on effect on people taking grandkids or whatever.

Well firstly say I have renewed my season ticket and upgraded from Gold to Lounge, so doing my bit.

I don't buy the story that the club had to play outside Wellington, and certainly wasn't a need to go to Christchurch. Had people got extra games for same price it might have helped sell more.

Don't buy the economic recession theory all together either, sure it effects some people but I doubt it is a factor for most.

Hopefully we'll get the seaon ticket sales, although signing another good striker might help things along. I think people would like to know we can challenge for the top positions, not just aim to avoid last.

I'll definitely go to Palmy and maybe to ChCh, but still think it was a bad idea from the point of view of season ticket sales.

Can't wait for the seaon myself, just remember if you don't support it we might not have a team. Remember the Knightz and the Kingz.

Hope I'm wrong but have a hunch that they will be lucky to get half the 4000 members they are aiming for.

The group of approx 12 that we went with last season are not bothering with re-newing and others I've heard of are the same. reasons ?

3rd season and novelty factor is well and truly over, people want a reason to go, either a team that looks like it will be a serious contender or a couple of players that you feel you want to go and see and both those have left!

We will pick our games to go to and this after missing maybe 3 games since the start.

I'm sure that if the team plays well and is challenging then numbers will swell and honestly thats the way it should be, blind fanatical support is okay for some, but the majority will look at it alot more coldly.
