Revenue of Wellington Phoenix

 

 

has all football clubs with a revenue above 10 million euros, so hundreds of clubs,

but the only A-League team with such a revenue seem to be Melbourne Victory?? I

think that site has old figures, or are the A-League clubs not that wealthy? I expected

us, Sydney FC and Brisbane Roar also in the list, and MVFC on a much higher spot (they

have an average attendance around 30,000!!). Can anyone explain??

Salary cap is $A 2,350,00 + marquee and replacement players. Obvoiusly clubs have alot of other expenses, eg staduim hire, travel etc. If these added up to another couple of million you could have expenditure of say $6 million per season. Than you regularly hear that most clubs are losing money every season.

 

Therefore our revenue, as with most other clubs, is nowhere near 10 milliion euros.
