Nix twitter feed says there will be an announcement of a new sponsor this week.

Let the speculation begin.  I'm gonna with Interislander.

Great - good to get some positive news after all the recent press perpetrated doom and gloom.

Speaking of doom and gloom I wonder what negative angle the Doom Post will find in this story - "Revera step in to save Phoenix systems".

Am I wrong in thinking that the Dom Post and stuff (Fairfax) have been one of the biggest supporters of NZ football, Phoenix and Yellow Fever. Only really on the 'Terry's council payments' have they miss-stepped?

Possibly right - but the negative story after negative story is starting to look like a personal vendetta against Terry. One or two stories fine but it looks, to me, like a campaign. I would be more than happy if they went back to football stories - although the crap in today's paper about rugby vs football indicates, even then, they still have to find a negative angle.

I don't worry about that, they're trying to sell rags, and fair nuff if that works.
You know we belong together...

The rugby vs football stuff is tedious and a beat up to sell copy.  Bound to happen when football rides a wave of popularity (be it WC or Nix or being 5th best club in the world).

But the attempted muck-raking on Terry is gutter journalism and of course there is the potential of real collateral damage on the nix and football.
