Nah you're misreading it.

It's clearly a Live BBQ that is "Band Free".  Which is great, I hate delayed BBQs.  I also hate BBQs with bands - grilled live music is ridiculous.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I think you're right although "Live BBQ" could also mean that they don't kill the animals before they put them on the BBQ, which just seems f**king cruel.

At least there won't be any bands playing though.

No, I reckon the band is called  Free BBQ       bloody clever marketing b*stards...
probably Tim Brown's idea.
and I 'd rather listen to a live band anyday.
a dead band could be a bit dreary.

Did anyone go to this?

Was it actually a night of animal torture and no music?

Almost as bad as Ryan Nelsen's surname being spelt Nelson on tonight's Life Flight slide show.

and his own teammates not being able to spell his name, giggles galore

4:23
Fred Woodcock -  Conrad wants to know who the worst dresser in the All Whites is and who has the worst taste in music?
4:24
Tim Brown -  Worst dresser, that's easy: Sigmund. And there are a few candidates for bad music. I think Nelson and Elliot like some really old stuff that no one has ever heard of so we'll go with them.

I popped in for a bit.  It was a good laugh.  I turned up quite late but I'm told it was rammed at 5:30 with kids getting autographs and such.  Big memorabilia auction held too.  Everyone getting on the sauce including R L Herbert who was throwing away shots of jager and taking his last chance to let his hair down (what's left of it) before going away (he was on the OJs at Life Flight last night).

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
