Don't have the Tim Brown one. And think I gave the Moosecat to someone on Sunday as I can't seem to find it.

Tim Brown?
Moosecat?

Can we have a gallery with photos of all the YF t-shirts?

Using the seats to beat out 'Ricki Herberts yellow army' would be cool if all 34 500 did it. Not least because I wouln't get paranoid that Red BAdge were watching me.

Seen it done by Blades fans (probably only 20 000 for 30mins - awesome)

All this talk made me nostalgic, didn't the magnificent rendition of Ricki Herbert's Yellow Army on the Fever bus from the ROF  to the Four Kings get posted on here somewhere? Was that two seasons ago?

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Ha Ha, I remember the startled looks on the faces of motorists and passers-by. Superb. Sure there used to be a link to it on here somewhere.

I recorded it on my phone and had it as my ring tone for a while, changed it because it scared the sh*t out of me every time the phone rung.

Great bus trip though.

As I said earlier it would be pretty freaking cool if we could actually get EVERYONE to wear yellow and give the appearance of a completely empty stadium, because the noise that would come over the TV would be parodoxical!

Best crowd ever? Nah, that was November 14

Oh thank god we've got the marketing team at Wellington Tourism to tell us what to wear to the game.

Sorry, but I will be wearing the same black t-shirt that has got us this far.

I'm a bit concerned how the non-football set seem to want to turn this into a Sevens version 2, where we all dress up and perform for TV with scant regard for what actually matters - the football.  I suppose we'd then attract the rugby crowd with that type of conformist dead-head supporting following the approved sense of "wackiness".  You can stick that.

Of course YF fans will wear whatever they want to the game but casual fans are hardly going to troll through all the threads here. The Stuff and Welly Tourism contributions are valuable to encourage a well presented crowd come 7 March

End of the day I'm there to watch the footy and wear my club's colours (and lose my voice AGAIN).

People can wear anything or nothing as they wish.  (the last bit is particularly directed at Ricki's Chickies and the "UCOL girlies" whoever you are)

We're you at the all-white game? No preplanned wackiness whatsoever - just 30K+ people, the vast majority wearing white making a unified and impressive backdrop of support to the team.

Concur with ginger - 34,000+ fans, some wearing "dress-up" yes but respecting the colours of the team (ie. White), and when they arrived at the stadium were in full voice for the entire night "for what actually mattered - the football".

I hardly think it's 'wackiness". Think there's a world of difference between people being gently encouraged to wear a colour which is strongly associated with the team, and having pissed-up morons rocking up dressed as The Flintstones etc.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I was there, and wearing white too!  My concern is not the colour thing - that is real football - but the media fascination with chanting, and shirts off, and the bra ladies, and waving scarves and so on.  These things would normally be seen as the incidentals of a football match, the main focus being on the game.  I have this nervousness that the game is being positioned as a chance for Sevens fans to put on their costumes and party all over again.  Maybe that's okay for some but I know I'll be there, racked with nerves and anxiety the whole damn 90 minutes again, wanting to watch footie.  If some prat dresses as a giant yellow capsicum with his 7 rugby boofhead mates I'll be pretty dirty on it.

Haha, I didn't want to say too much about it but since the cat appears to be out of the bag...

My reading into this is that the 20,000 figure was just plucked out from somewhere - not sure where - then put up on some Twitter accounts, eventually landing on the "wgtnphoenixfc" Twitter.

It then gets sourced (despite the Twitter profile clearly stating it was UNOFFICIAL). It is then followed by a removal of the source, but the 20,000 figure remained

All good though. Great hype

I'm a relative new comer to football fandom but IMO I don't care if they come dressed as giant capsicums and bananas as long as they are in full voice in support for the 'Nix for 90-130 minutes.ahmad2010-02-25 13:26:16
