The All Whites game had the "white out", as a suggestion for the Semi Final - we should mark ourselves loud and proud as "Ricki Herberts - Yellow Army"

Every supporter - man, woman and child to wear something yellow or yellow and black to really show their support for the team.

Get behind the team, roaring them on to victory displaying your pride at being one of Ricki Herberts - Yellow Army!

Would love to see that happen... But can't really see it unfortunately.

I think it could happen... Just market it as a Phoenix out or something.

Fever spreading the word is a good start.
Spread it at work.

There's still 10 days or so, it could happen. But not without the Nix themselves pushing it.

At least if we don't get a sell out we have the seats on our side.

I thought we did that every week?

Yellow clothing would be difficult to find in many people's wardrobe I'm guessing (I'm still looking for something to wear).

But having the option of yellow OR black makes good sense and should work?

SOLVED!

$8 tees for a sellout crowd would cost them over $280,000(including dye money)....

Yeah... cant see that happen. not this year atleast!

What did those shirtless-guys paint themselves with (yellow) last week? Were they dyed?

With regards stripes - someone will correct me if I'm wrong but given the nature of seating in stadiums, wouldn't it be more effective to have horizontal stripes?

ie. A row wears yellow, B row wears black, C yellow, etc.

Seating numbers could prove difficult due to people not sitting directly behind the person in front.

But again, this is just a thought and could well be dispelled by someone

I'm not saying horizontal would necessarily look better though.

Will be tough to get the word out too - but I'll go along with anything anyone puts effort into organising!

New people might need a memo, as they don't see how immaculately dressed we are every week.  Was electric yellow popular at one point in the 80s?  If so I'm sure lots of the fans will have closet yellow clothing they can yank out.

It should be a blackout - opposite to the whiteout.

Plus, this is Wellington - everyone has something black in their wardrobe.

NOTHING will prevent me from wearing my lucky Nix City T (not even my luvvly jubbly stripey)

Nah mate - eveyone wears black to the All Blacks game. Anyway - as per the title of the thread - our song say's "yellow army" - this website is called "yellow fever" - not black army or black fever

People can call for Yellow all they want, but I'm wearing my black original home strip... 18 games at the ring of fire says it doesn't change.

If the seats at the stadium can manage coming dressed in Yellow week in week out then im sure around 30000 humans can do it!!! C-Diddy2010-02-24 22:00:43

As all the seats are yellow .... and if everybody dresses all in yellow..... then won't it make the stadium look completely empty?

Has this really been thought through?

That would be brilliant!

A completely empty stadium that echoes with the voices of 34,500 non-existant fans!

Spooky. I like it!

What happened to The Sheik?

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Still there Jag. Was just being a smart arse because I'm usually the yellowest thing at the stadium (other than the seats).

I wasn't actually taking him seriously, News.

What to wear? Fever T or the legendary unsponsored V1(as worn by H. News). Hmm, decisions, decisions.

Don't have the Tim Brown one. And think I gave the Moosecat to someone on Sunday as I can't seem to find it.

Last week I wore an 07 Retro to the Hilton and Youth League, changed into Black for the match and then changed to stripey for the aftermatch.

I repped the Moosecat at Naenae kicks Saturday so it's due a wear tomorrow.
