I thought there were quite a few in NZ that would go above Riki in that pecking order, Ben Sigmund, Keryn Jordan, the Littles, Englefield, Totori etc

At least they included Costa

Ricki Van Steedan was in there as well as a "great signing who stood out in Japan" but some guy wrote a letter to the editer the next month saying how crap he was and how much better Sigmund is than him.
