Ross Aloisi decision...

Just had word that Ross has been found guilty of the charge against him, BUT he's been given a SUSPENDED one-match ban, which means he CAN play against the Jets.

The ban will be activated if he recieves a red or yellow card against the Jets.  However, as he is on three yellows at present, a fourth would see him have a week off anyway, as would a red.

A good outcome - he's playing on Sunday!

Brilliant, a slightly muzzled Ross (just coz he can probably do without any press response if he did pick up a card) but a Ross none -the -less!!

I'm pleasantly surprised, not often the Aussie officials pass up a chance like that

best sporting news all day!! Yes!!

cheers LF1

Good news at last, Ross can play on Sunday and can sit with fever boys for the next game. Onya Rossi.

I say tackle him in the face.

Maybe the FFA lads realised the laughing stock they'd be if they slapped Ross hard for the gentle elbow he gave the Roaree, but ignored Joel "Penis Envy" Griffiths?  Gives us a better midfield given that Felipe won't be playing.

What else could he have done?

Dead right there mate, could have gotten very ugly for the FFA if they had gone ahead with a suspension when they let Griffiths off. What about that tackle from Commins Menapi on Che Bunce in the NZFC last year, didn't he receive a stiffer penalty from NZFootball even though the ref booked him at the time? So do the FFA operate under different rules?

It was on Riki van Steeden and in the end Waitak appealed and no additional punishment was given.

Yer- wasn't Waitakare's appeal something like "it wasn't fair that they upgraded the charge because it was shown on TV.  If it wasn't being broadcast then noone would ever know?"

Dodgey.  Just like whacking the sausage of a linesman and elbowing a player in the box.

I let my guitar speak for me

Good decision and it's good to see a common sense approach by the FFA. Puts the responsibility on Ross to behave, but let's hope it doesn't stifle the mongrel in him. Jets players might try and wind him up.

He might even cop a smack in the goolies from a Jets striker with previous for that sort of stuff!
