Some big questions need to be asked of the manager. Why the hell is Finkler playing and not even taking free kicks? What's the point? Why is Vidosic on the wing where he barely touches it? Why is Mullen at right back? Why bring Italiano in after we've won 5-2? 

Also, what exactly does Ridenton bring - can barely tackle, poor positioning, no speed, spreads it wide OK, dwells on the ball/loses it constantly and takes crap corners.

This is embarrassing. Very poor against a very poor team

Chopping and changing too much - the backline that started tonight are all poor passers. I can see why Smith was wanted now - Italiano slows everything down

From memory, Vidosic was at his best when playing out wide while at Adelaide.

Would have liked Galloway to have started - bit of pace a more of an attacking option.

ridentons delivery on the last two dead ball situations has been excellent...now for the rest of his game ;)

I'm amazed people think the Mariners are a poor team. Granted we've played like a bunch of hung over Sunday social footballers but they are playing very well. Their win over Sydney was no fluke, they have ripped us to pieces tonight.

Watson has the habit of "scoring goals here and there". Not exactly amazing praise for a striker.

Thought AK was just coming into it personally. AK with 1 leg is better than Watson.

even as a Keegan fan I think Italiano has been ok tonight - i think some comments about him for the first goal are a little unfair.

As a Nix fan the bright side is we have two GK's who can play A-League level now.

CCM haven't had a player on the far post for any of our corners either.

I think you have to look at more than just saves. Italiano has had an obvious effect on our ability to play out from the back. Italiano is one of the worst ball playing keepers I have ever seen - hoofs it every time.

Italiano has made some good saves tonight, but he's not a long-term option if we want to play more than long ball.

I think both are bad options personally, but if I had to choose one I'd choose Smith.

I think tonight we may have seen the last of Durante being a starter as a CB for us - I think Mullen will slot into CB and Galloway will go back to RB.

never understood what all the fuss is about regarding playing out from the back. most of our time on the ball is around our own 18yard box, most of our passes are completed in our own half, our defenders do more passing than our midfield or attacking players. None of those things are conducive to scoring goals. DK and a few others needs to wake up to this. 

As it should be . I am absolutely baffled as to why Galloway isn't starting if fit. Play FB's at FB - have we learned nothing?

I think it's probably all relative - the entire backline has been rubbish with the ball so maybe Keegan would have made no impact tonight.  It's clear to me that Keegan can use his feet better - but I just think it's not fair to paint Italiano as poor in this game when I don't think he has been.  Each to their own though.

Watson has no business being in the a-league. Depressing he is our plan B.

Becuase if you are a ball playing team and your opposition press you - if you can beat the press you have broken a whole line of defence and you can overload the remaining players to create a good attacking opportunity.  

Where you play the ball is all relative to how high the other team press.
