Hi, I would be happy enough to wait and see if an official scarf is launched, but I am kind of attached to idea of an old fashioned strped one. The one I posted is from footballheaven a UK site, so the expense is mostly in the P+P so I was thinking of an economy of scale thing, so if an official one is not available I will still order one from UK.

I suppose the FFA can't go too wrong with Black and yellow, I have an offical Sydney scarf but it is a horrid aqua colour not sky blue .  The Cove  got it right with the colour.

surely the hurricanes or lions have a yellow and white striped scarf?

Yeah I really like the stripe thing, the phoenix merchandise wil probably be too black for me. If enough of us start wearing yellow the club might get the picture!

I got a similar one to Steff's picture in Porirua Pak N Save last winter (the yellow's a bit more gold-ish but it was striped with black like that) - perhaps they'll have some again this winter?  I'll still probably buy an official one though (unless it's absolutely hideous!) for reasons of helping the club financially a bit as someone else mentioned.
