Do we get a chance to renew our seats for next season and/or move seats option, if so when does the form come out etc?

Cheers

I just pray that Ticketec has sorted their sh*t out so that renewing fans and those wishing to purchse season tickets, don't get messed around like this season.

And for God's sake Ticketec, warn people wanting Aisle 21 & Aisle 22 seats that they run the risk of people standing, singing and drink in those areas so they know what they are getting into! So simple a quick sentence of advice - sadly lacking so far!

i agree lonegunmen, the reason im asking is coz ive got hols in march and wanted to renew before i went away, i want to renew my seat, but ticketek or phoenix have not released any info, probably not till after the game tonight which is understandable.

if we make the play-offs then i for one am gonna be there!!

The official line from the club is that if you've got a season pass this year, you have to stay in that seat for next season and if you buy it for next year you're contractually obliged to buy that seat for the next five years, you can't change.

Answering the original point, Is it really that bizarre the club isn't selling season tickets for next season yet, after all there are only 3 games of THIS season to go.

Of course you'll be able to change seats and I'm sure the club will release details for next season, but maybe when this season is finished!

I think the reference is to incidents such as at the Galaxy match where heaps of people had obstructed views due to Ticketek putting them in Fever Zone seats without warning them it was the standing section. Everyone is welcome in the Zone, but they need to be aware that people will be standing up. The fact that Pricketek fail to inform people of this is careless and bad for the team.

I'll be getting a season pass again for sure, but might change my seat to be more in the center of the zone and co-ordinate my tickets with my mates.

Hey, aren't we going to dump Ticketek for next season due to their all-round sh*t service?

The price for season tickets are unlikely to be set till they know how many home games there well be. Remember that the league could be expanding. Didnt expect to be able to buy them till these decisions have been made.

I have also been advised by the club that there is a possiblity that there may not be allocated seating in the Fever Zone next season.

I didn't even get my 'free Phoenix scarf' with this years season pass. Do I get it next year? Maybe a newer, improved version?

If thats the case them im afraid that is a real concern what so they want to take our money for a season ticket but will not allow us to have an allocated seat.Sorry but that would be a real slap in the face for our dedication this season.Just how that would help with any atmosphere i cant for the life of me work out. What so the club wants to splinter their supporter group that has to be a concern.Surely something that needs to be sorted sooner rather than later i would think.

Its for the benefit of the members.
Many have compained they cant take their friends/family who may only be casual supporters along to games as they cant stand with them. This would allow that to happen (if there is room). How many ticket holders in aslies 21/22 go to there actual seats anyway?
It may not happen yet as the FFA make the rules about seating.

If you think its a positive or negative email the club (like I did) and tell them what you would like to see happen for next season.

you only got a free scarf if you were a Phoenix member not silver or gold or yellow fever seating. You had to get the $450 season pass.

I completely agree with Ballane - surely you would have the same problem (ie. friends not being able to be with you) if you had season tickets in any other aisle? I would be mighty annoyed if I can't have the same seats in the zone next season.  I think at the moment there's a good mix of 'casual' supporters who want the 'good time' of the zone, and the season ticket holders and other feverites who go to every game cos they love the footie.

I agree you should be able to have an allocated seat if you so wish.

I asked the club if it was possible to get a season ticket without an allocated seat. That I could go to ticketick and get my seat allocated when I was purchasing however many normal tickets I needed for each game.(I didnt specify that tehese needed to be in the zone) The reason being this season I have attended every game with as few as 1 other and as many as 16 others. I want to be able to sit with the people I am bringing along. I have heard others saying they would bring more along but they cant sit with them.

The club replied:

"Thank you for your interest in Wellington Phoenix.

Your feedback and support is greatly appreciated here at the Phoenix, so we thank you kindly.

Further to your email, I can see the issue that has arisen with allocated seats, however unfortunately the FFA have decided that for next season all seats will be allocated (possibly with the exception of the Yellow Fever section, but this is to be confirmed) as logistically it is much too difficult to change seats at every game.

I am terribly sorry to inform you of this, but we must adhere to the rules stated by the FFA"

I didn't get a lot of stuff I was supposed to (which I have alluded to in another thread) but like I said then, once I knew I was able to get into the game and watch our team all the little membership trimmings did not seem to matter.

Hence why I am going for Silver membership next season - save myself some cake.

Just a thought......Buy one season ticket, get a Childrens one free - to encourage families along. Mum & dad & two kids etc type stuff. Not for the Aisle 21 & 22 areas though.

The Phoenix would lose to much money from that.

A better idea would be a Family membership for $700 or more that gets 2 kids and 2 adults in.

Would they? Empty seat filled with noisey fans. Of course they'd be annoying their parents for supporters merchandise, food etc etc. Children jerserys would sell etc. Even if say the club made Aisles 1-4 a family designated area for this idea. They'd hear the noise from the YF zone and we'd actually see people on the far side of the ground. It gives us numbers in the ground and encourages a future generation of fans.

oh the vikings, they were the days. yea i dont think the free child pass with the adults pass would work, not economically viable but i like the idea of a family season pass in a designated family area. i think that would work quite well. hopefully tiketek will have sorted there sh*t out by june and it will be an easier process, and also that student memberships are still ridiculously cheap.
a bit of a whinge though, when signing up one of the carrots was exclusive member only events. apart from the night at the store has there been anything else? maybe there will be something at the end of the year but i would have liked to have seen a bit more. for example the west tigers (nrl) sent my brother a christmas card signed by a few of the players and coach. cheap, easy but would certainly be a way of creating more good will. i for one would be chuffed to get an xmas card signed by a few of the boys.
but on the whole i am certainly not winging, even though i was only able to attend 4 of the 10 home games i will always be able to say i was an inaugral member of the nix and it will make winning our 10th premiership in 12 years time even sweeter.

I haven't been anywhere near Arena Manawatu since those days I was supposed to go up for the Steamers/Turbos match but I missed my bus...though according to the rest of the BOP Mafia it was a good thing I did!

And to stay on topic - I hope we get unallocated seating for the FZ and that regular tickets in the zone aren't sold, so nobody stakes some claim on some seats only to have someone come along with a single match ticket in their seat.
