If you want a decent crowd to be established you need to offer it at a decent price. You need to establish the culture of fans. The best way to do that is get a stable and sizable crowd along over the first season.
If you have a season ticket you're more likely to attend than if you need to buy a walk up each week as you've already committed your cash. BUT if you make the season ticket price too much then it won't attract.
I don't know the season ticket prices for the Hurricanes, but I know that they get the Lions games and priority to the All Blacks games etc. Since the Phoenix don't have that kind of added attraction I don't think you can charge as much.
It is sad, but you need to take into account the failure of the Kings and the Knights when setting the price. I don't want to pay top dollar for football as poor as that. So until they establish themselves as a worthwhile team on the pitch they need to give the fans a break.
I want them to succeed and want to attend as many games as I can. But I'm not prepared to pay top dollar until I know that I'm getting the quality of game week in and week out.

So thats season pass and kit sorted. You beauty.

A dog with a bone :)
if there is some sort of family pass maybe us poorer fans could go 4 (or whatever) ways on one to save $$$$
i hope that the tix arent too pricey as some one put befor it will drive away the younger fans who have f**k all cash
One thing I havent seen here is how much the stadium hireage will cost. You can debate the cheapness of tickets all night but if the franchise aint getting a good deal on the hireage of the venue, then if they haven't got the price right they will lose money from day one. I can tell you that Waikato FC pay $5000 plus tax to hire Waikato Stadium for home NZFC games and when you only get 400 odd through the gate it doesn't work...
