Season Ticket Prices

Along the same lines as the price per ticket. Let's see what level of support is out there for Season Tickets...

You never know, the decision makers may very well take these polls into account when deciding - we are - after all - the best people to judge what the football fan would pay!

If you want a decent crowd to be established you need to offer it at a decent price. You need to establish the culture of fans. The best way to do that is get a stable and sizable crowd along over the first season.

If you have a season ticket you're more likely to attend than if you need to buy a walk up each week as you've already committed your cash. BUT if you make the season ticket price too much then it won't attract.

I don't know the season ticket prices for the Hurricanes, but I know that they get the Lions games and priority to the All Blacks games etc. Since the Phoenix don't have that kind of added attraction I don't think you can charge as much.

It is sad, but you need to take into account the failure of the Kings and the Knights when setting the price. I don't want to pay top dollar for football as poor as that. So until they establish themselves as a worthwhile team on the pitch they need to give the fans a break.

I want them to succeed and want to attend as many games as I can. But I'm not prepared to pay top dollar until I know that I'm getting the quality of game week in and week out.

With the five signings they got so far and the speculation surrounding the team and its future success, i think alot of people are making it sound a lot worse than it actually will be.

Mate!, give me a break, I'd just convinced the Minister of Finance (i.e. her indoors) that $300 was the going rate, and not only that, had it approved...

Imagine the extra beer money that has since flowed through my fingers directly related to your OUTING of my cunning plan!

Oh well...

There's always that dozen golf balls on special for $299.95 at the local sports store...

I would definitely say that the price should be low for the first season at least. As has been said before there will be a much stronger fan base if there is a large core of season ticket holders, and with the Kingz and Knights past performances I dont think it would be wise to expect people to fork out for a season ticket at least until the phoenix have proven that their football will make it worthwhile

Yeah theres no doubt that we need to create a strong fan base the first time arund, BUT i dont think that theyll cut the prices. I think that instead of cutting, theyll add. SO next time you buy a meal at Burgerking you get your free Ricki herbet action figure...

Well not that extreme, but i do think promotions, extras, and merchandise will be HUGE. Also publicity stunts and singings to raise awarness will defenatly be included.

There's an idea! Lets organise a public singing in Downtown Wellington one day soon. We should be able to get 50-100 YF fans, and setup on Manners, Cuba or somwhere and sing some songs and go fekking mental for 30 minutes.!

If we tip off the papers and the TV news media we're bound to generate some publicity . . .

i dno like how much, for starters we culd be crap

So theres 10 games a season I would say about $180  or $200 if nthey count semis.
almost 19 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
I think up to $200 it would be fair. A bit less would be ideal.
A bit more would be being greedy.

Frankly I'm willing to pay anything.
The more professional footie, the better the All Whites will be.
I'd like to see them at the World Cup again, before my life is over.

i rekon somthing like 120-140 is good for the season, if the tickets go for 15-17

if 18+ plus then 170ish,
almost 19 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
either way its a gamble, we could be winners or we could be loosers
almost 19 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Melbourne Victory last year was $150 and another $50 for Silver reserved seat and $75 for Gold reserved seat, for a comparison.

ye thats why they got a big crowd!! No way should our tickets be higher then 150. Maby like someone said 15-20 year olds get it cheaper which is fair.Im 18 and some are even younger and we dont really have 220 buk or something to spend on tickets. So i hope that tickets are 120-150. Thatl be awesome caz im sure there are alot of young supporters out there that want to come to games. And like a few people have said including uncle steven burger, this is our first season and surely we have to get some fans in unlike the hurricanse etc and every other team that plays at the westpac or even nz crowds in general. Cheap tickets = BIG Crowds

Great idea. We all want chanting practise right? If we can get at least 30 people in town somewhere. We can chant and try to get more supporters but also we can mainly chant out how we all want ticket prices to be 100 bucks lol !!! brilliant.
almost 19 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Mean. I dont know what your smoking Pavlos but i can almost safley put my left testicle on this that season tickets will not be 150. Although i do agree they should keep them low, 200 seams like a fair price to me.
almost 19 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
How much should they be for a family? We arent all single.

A dog with a bone :)

almost 19 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
wouldnt have a clue. Fk 200 man thats alot. And steve we prb going ausy end of year for a month or so and thatll be a few games missed. During the year ull miss a couple for some reason surely. If tickets are 160 ill get it. Iv already got my lil piggy bank in my room which iv chucked money in. 72 buks so far. lol
almost 19 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Tzinz city man. Think surley 20bux a game, theyd either give out season passes for 200 with extras, or season passes, standard, for like 160-180.
almost 19 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Any one have a clue of the price of season Tickerts????????
almost 19 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Theyres been many price ranges but none have yet been confirmed. Look in the threads to see if your that interested.
almost 19 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
we'll see if its too much $$$$$ terry will loose$$$$$, im sure he wants to make his money back best not piss off the fans too early,

if there is some sort of family pass maybe us poorer fans could go 4 (or whatever) ways on one to save $$$$

i hope that the tix arent too pricey as some one put befor it will drive away the younger fans who have f**k all cash

One thing I havent seen here is how much the stadium hireage will cost. You can debate the cheapness of tickets all night but if the franchise aint getting a good deal on the hireage of the venue, then if they haven't got the price right they will lose money from day one. I can tell you that Waikato FC pay $5000 plus tax to hire Waikato Stadium for home NZFC games and when you only get 400 odd through the gate it doesn't work...

Its the old Kiwi football thing. Everyone wants it for nothing. That is the core reason why football isn't progressing the way it should in this county. We as fans think we support the game but we are slow to cough up when it counts. Look, I offered to donate all the money from sales of my old Kingz season review to the Nix fans, and already one person said they wouldnt pay $5 for it. I've seen it for years, as assistant editor of Sitter! fanzine and the JAM will know as well.

We want it all and we don't want to pay for it. The attitude has to change before I see football making inroads in New Zealand. I challenge everyone on this forum to get a subscription to Soccer Talk for starters. How many of you would stump up $61 for an annual sub? Not many...I can tell you from first hand knowledge.

how much and when can we get them.
almost 19 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Terrible question as we have explained this a hundred times - but since it is your first post - there will be no announcement till the end of May. Yellow Fever will have a season ticket zone.
almost 19 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
I'm told season tickets will be around $170
adult tickets approximately $20 per game.
Also talk of kids getting in for free.
