More than ever, I see Phoenix and Retro Ricki shirts around in the Bay of Plenty. The Nix is actually forming a widespread fan base. It is so good seeing kids and adults wearing the shirts out on the streets. I've seen Nix shirts worn by four different people on the street in Whakatane over the summer.
It used to frustrate me that I never saw anyone wearing Kingz or Knights shirts on the streets even on game days in Auckland.
Well done Phoenix!

it's awesome innit? the other day alone I ran into about 3-4 people wearing their Retro Ricky's..and of course so was I! It just is a great feeling.

Besides, I noticed how many "non-football fans" are jealous/wanna be part of the whole Phoenix project.
I get many txt's during the week (not now obviously) asking me when the next home game is etc..

I have a good feeling about next year. The Nix coming 6th and narrowly missing out on the finals have had a lot of coverage in the second half of the season.

Hmm.. It must be somewhere else. The only one worth while looking at that is hidden in OFF TOPIC is the Hard News Look-a-Like thread.
