I could not find one and think it may be time for Shaun to have his own thread.
To be honest I dont know anything about Gill. I know he was in Ops before moving across to Football manager.
Does anyone know his history? Where he played/worked? I have always been interested in peoples background

Compare it to Auckland's Terry Mcflynn:
- 14 year professional career
- UEFA A coaching badge
- Was head of football operations in Perth Glory & Sydney FC.

I heard Shaun Gill counted to infinity... Twice. And that he can unscramble eggs.
I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

What's with the antagonistic subject? Its par for the course for the person that started the topic, but it doesn't need to be.

Who cares if he was a dickhead on the field? What did he do to annoy nix fans? lol

Take it antagonistic or in fact any other way you want too. I’m figuring you like playing the victim.

McFlynns CV very light by the looks (not sure you have those roles right?) and was a big jump to the Akld gig.

He was a great on field villain who kicked crap out of everyone, mouthed off and him and Corica are a big reason I can’t be more supportive of AFC.
Sydney were initially the Nix bunnies and Felipe and Brown dazzled against them iirc and then there was Brosque diving at the Ring of Dirt and other general ratbag tactics.
They foul, get away with it and then roll and whine when anyone tackles them.
A favourites moment was Joel Griffiths interviewing them coach Corica and he moaned about all the fouls and Griff interrupted him and said ‘But all the fouls were coming from Sydney FC.’
He didn’t like that. Used to only being able to give it out and not being questioned.
I like Sydney much less than Auckland. So it’s a personal preference.

No Nixie has it pretty much spot on.
Except maybe only a UEFA B badge

They don't salary cap A League staffer wages and other resourcing expenditure, so Auckland were always going to aim higher than the Nix in that space.

Looks like he did move into better positions at syney and Perth, though the Sydney date looks like a porky. Had only been out of footy a decade and didn’t hold either ops jobs long

A few characters on here think that everything Akld does is the gold standard. Weird that you would be embarrassed (have you not seen the Dome thread?)

McFlynn started out in the QPR Youth team.
I've only met Sean Gill once without knowing who he was. Seamed a pretty good, knowledgeable sort. Friendly and not an egotistical type.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

His record for Wellington United 1st team was
1992 2
1993 15
1996 22
1997 2
so 41 games over four seasons
92 Finlayson was keeper, but he went to Napier in 93
96 Van Hattum was keeper in Super League, Gill would have been keeper in central league team
