Totally, the people from work I was having a drink with before the game asked why my retro ricki wasn't as vibrant as some other guy walking past, it denotes how long we've been fans, and c'mon, its a RETRO RICKI, the fading makes it better.

Im surprised this hasnt been raised more, but black is an
absolutely crap colour to play a team sport in.
When you have a fraction of a second to find your team mates,
a bright colour makes a world of difference. Also, looking on the
wider panorama, you can very easily pick out the whereabouts of all
your team mates. Black doesnt facilitate that to the same
degree.

I quite like the current shirt. It's already become synonymous with
the Phoenix, and recognisable. There's always a pic or two of a
Phoenix player in the DomPost each week too, so the public
recognise it too. Why not keep it for another year at least to help
consolidate the whole Phoenix package in people's minds (those we
are trying to convert to football/Phoenix). Or am I talking
sh*t...?
