Brockie has already played two seasons in the A-league...be that training or actually playing. How many other u20 players can claim that?

the experience he has accumulated at such a young age counts for alot.  if we can extend the olive branch to an out of sorts stephen old, then the same will probably happen for brockie, especially as he is under 20.

Did Costa play? If so, how did he look?

Yeah Costa played. It was hard for him to move with two centre backs up his ass the whole night, but he did play under par for his standards.

Could be a bit nervy for Brockie considering his fringe status for the AW's

If Ricky takes hime on then he can contemplate a reasonalble international career, but if he isnt given a contract, doesnt bode well.

I'm not up with the play on other u20's around, but I would give him a 1 year with an option. I think he does have the potential.

Just in defence of Costa - he had just come back from U17 camp in Auckland where apparently they really worked the boys in preparation for the next preparation trip.

So Brockie is good enough for both the under 20's and All Whites squads but not good enough for the Phoenix?

If you sign Totori thats an import gone, why is it in New Zealand we immediatly over look local players purely because they are local players?

So your telling me that Costa can feel tired after having an under 17s fitness camp but Brockie can't go off injured while he is in the middle of a longer camp.

Give him a shot,
Then make decision next year when he is no longer under 20

hes had shot, after shot, after shot with clubs and still looks like a wanky striker who trips over himself, and ever now and then taps in the occasional one.

See how they got at the U20 and then make a decision.
If anyone plays themselves into contention makes sense to look at them,
So i guess we wait and see.

Bump. This is quite a laugh as well. On page 3, Brockie, Totori and Boxall all mentioned as potential players. Fast forward 5 years.......
