Should we sign a 3rd Goal Keeper?

We got 2 GK now and both of them AW, when there is a AW game I think at least 1 of them will be unavailalbe, so do you think we should sign a third backup GK?

18 signed, 5 to go, 2 Brazillians, 2 U20s & probably 1 Aus/Kiwi Right Full Back.  So will most likely be a U20 GK. (Spoonley?)

Sign a goalie that can cover dfeence.

sign Mark Fulcher. Can cover as team doctor

Yes, sign another.  Remember one is already out injured

dont think like this!!!! No one wil lget through the defence for our keeper to be hurt or involved with the game

i think we should have a spare on standby...i wouldnt like to see the cap taken up by someone like Nicholson, give a youngster a go IF we do decide to go for one.

We got the best keeper in New Zealand at Plains Rangers, but Phoenix aren't having him.

I agree, Paston is almost as bad as Hay in the Tin Man category.  Injured often in the UK and if you all remember begining of last season all three keepers were out injured.

Sign Spoonley!

Yeah sign spoonley if he doesnt venture over to the states.

Sign the keeper from Hawkes Bay United.  He's had the most practice.

Spoonley won't come because then it will make him professional and he wants to get a scholorship from the states. How many times do I have to say this?!

The All-Whites commitments will make this a tricky decision for the Pheonix.  Generally I'd say no as the squads are still too small for such luxuries and short term signings can be made to cover for injured players should one of the keepers suffer an injury.   If not I think I'd be having one of the squad players having the odd practice in goals should the need arise on a match day when you only have one keeper and he injures himself/gets red carded.

Righy ho - have Aloisi as the third choice keeper then. I don't think so.

I think it would be better to just stick with two goalkeepers and sign goalkeepers on the short term when injuries/suspensions/All Whites commitments come around. Speaking of short term signings, how many are teams allowed to sign per season?
