If reports that Nick Carle's european adventure at Glencirbiligi is coming to an end are true then one of the Phoenix's three slots for next year could be his.

Sign him before Newcastle have him back!

He said he'd only sign with one club if he came back since he left in the 3rd year of a five year deal with us. I was about 1 metre away from him when he said it.

I've seen/heard many a football player say something like that, only to do the opposite anyway.

He wont come here, and I dont want him to cause I enjoy hating him

I'd swap him for Ahmad Elrich any day.

He's quite old I believe and from the things guys on the LA Riot Squad forums say pretty past it, or at least not up to that great a snuff.

Can't sign him if he's not from Brazil....!!!

Nick Carle would be a huge signing. Having said that, the Bogans aren't doing too bad without him this year.....untill a few hours from now I hope....!!

I see Carlos Tevez actually got a great reception from the Hammers fans last night. They seemed to genuinely respect him, despite leaving for Man U.

Not quite the same sort of reception as Luis Figo got at the Nou Camp after moving from Barca to Real Madrid.....!!!!

He never really impressed me to be honest, got into good scoring positions but more often than not missed and wasn't great work rate wise.

Besides i could never support a guy who spends more time at the hairdressers than my wife!!!

Definitely rate him, outstanding in the AUS V NIGERIA match recently. But we'd have little to no shot, Newie must have the inside running

Normo's coming home

He would be a huge asset. Not as lazy as he used to be either, and perhaps after a season in Turkey his work rate has improved further.

Someone post the small video of him trying to do that stupid cross for aussie, then falling on his arse

If he currently plays for aussie, he is worth signing. Yes please

That attempted cross was exactly as Simon Hill described it.

Looks like he is going to Bristol City according to this mornings SMH for 1.3m.

GET YOUR SHIRTS OFF FOR THE BOYS

that sounds like a big fee for a club like Bristol to be shelling out (even if its $Au not pounds)

Bristol city? they're in bloody promotion places last time I saw them. Carle heading for the premiership!

true WillyB,

I hadn't realised how well they were doing, perhaps they've got a few more quid to spend than i thought and like you say they'd probably be an attractive prospect at the moment

....and the gun you were holding in his back had no bearing on his statement

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Bristol City are my local side from back in the UK, born and bread there. Utterly fantastic to see City gain a player of Carle's calibar. He will give us that little bit of creativity needed for the final push to the Premiership :) We're 1st equal at the moment, just 3rd by goal difference.
