Is anyone else mildly interested in the fact that the first "batch"
of signings keeps getting postponed?
Its Friday tomorrow and currently we are told last this week
or early next which is fine but if postponed again you start to
wonder if enough good players would be left, some like the fans may
get frustrated and sign with a club they are already in discussions
with.
Coveny for example last time I heard had not even been spoken
to be anyone from the Phoenix and he is crying out to sign on the
dotted line.
Yeah its very frustrating as a fan, but I'm sure the first
batch of signings will be annouced shortly all we can do
is wait and if we don't hear anything in the nest two weeks then I
would be worried. Hope Ricki pulls out a couple of ripper signings
too in the first batch, which will get the media interest up and
create abit of hype. As for Coveny, maybe he hasn't heard anything
because Ricki has lined up better strikers than him - so that
can be seen as a good sign.
Things in the football world always seem to take longer than
needed. I just hope the delays are becasue they've got some real
stunners lined up, and not becasue they're desperately trying to
find anybody they can.

They were thinking about Friday - but that would clash with
Hurricanes stories in Saturday papers. Gonna be Mon or Tues
now I believe

I wouldn't be worried yet, still a bit of time to go.
I would go along with sanday as sadly I cannot see any outcome
other than Ricki signing him and he genuinely thinking it is a
great signing.
