In my view Lynch is a good enough striker who could give a lot to the Phoenix-cause.

He has been released by Roar and has not yet scored a contract.

Do you think the Nix should try and sign him? I reckon so.

Especially if Porter ends up staying in England. Lynch is a reliable, technical player who has demonstrated he can score.

It would be nice to see him at the RoF

He's considered the epitome of a striker who doesn't actually score by most A-League fans.  The fact that no one else is chasing him says a lot to me.

he was probably one of the worst strikers in version 3 of the A-League. He had/has equal ability of royce brownlie or a 2008 mario jardel.

I dont want him anywhere near the nix!

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Probably better as an attacking midfielder rather than a striker.

Apparently a large part of the reason he left was he wanted to return to Britain so regardless can't see him coming here

Have to agree with the Costa assertion. I'd like to see him play a part in at least a third of our games.

How is he going to improve if he is not playing - costa, we don't want to hold him back  too long.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

That's rubbish though, how do you think 16 and 17 year olds in the UK improve? Through training full time plus a few academy friendlies. Rushing him into the first team doesn't mean he'll improve, he should play when he is ready, that might not be for 2 years but that's not an issue. Many players don't debut until they're 19/20/21.

I think Costa is more than ready to start a decent few games this season.  He is class and has proved it.  Keeping players out of the starting line-up because they don't have any experience is hardly logical in my opinion, if he is good enough to be playing then let him, regardless of his age.  He will then get experience through that and go on to be even better.

On the evidence of our last game last season i somehow doubt that it will be 2 years before we see him.Wouldnt be surprised to see him taking part from early in the season.

Sorry, couldn't help dragging this thread up again, despite the pain it's causing me.

Mr Lynch is currently trialling for...............................................Partick Thistle!

Oh FFS! That news has totally wrecked my week

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Harsh, Malky. Harsh.

He is only trialling. Hopefully, our Coach will see him for the donkey he is and send him on his way.

just like kwasnik, gao, daniel, bertos and hearfield, we need a striker who is a striker and has been a striker who strike just like a striker should

One of the things that really pleased me about the inaugural A League season (oh, alright "Version 1") was the lack of impact the lower division British signs had. I'm thinking Lynch, James Robinson,  Simon Yeo etc. If they had been successful then the trend may have been more of the same and it would have become a league for Poms who were fed up with t' weather oop north. Thankfully, most weren't and it didn't.
