"Keen Kiwi striker looking for a partner in goals"

Name:
Shane Smeltz

Age:
26

Position:
Striker

Nationality:
New Zealand - no wait, Australian. Uh, kinda German too. Can I come back to this one?

Likes:
Scoring goals.

Hi, my name's Shane, I'm 26 years old and I'm a striker for Wellington Phoenix FC.
It's a bit lonely for me up front; there's nobody there to help me.
So I'm looking for someone to be my strike partner.

I'm kinda nervous but I'm hoping this will work out OK ...

I've played in Australia, New Zealand and England.

I like to hold the hold the ball up, dribble past the opposition and put the ball in the back of the net.
I can also use my head, not just for sums, but also to score goals.

When I score I like to make a Phoenix bird with my hands, it's pretty cool.

Last season I scored 9 goals and was voted the third best player in the A-League.
I was also Yellow Fever player of the season.

I was also voted best footballer in NZ, but to be honest there wasn't that much competition ...

What I'm looking for:
Someone else who likes to score too.
You can run really fast, and can pass the ball to me.
It's pretty windy here, so you've got to be able to stand up straight ...
You'll need a good head on your shoulders.
All of our away games are in Australia, so you'll need a current passport.
As yet the Phoenix don't have any fans from Parliament, so I can't promise you any shortcuts to NZ residency.

And I'm definitely a Kiwi, but I do cheer for Australia in the cricket ...

Please note I am already married - this is only for a partnership on the field!

Haha, that's pretty good Bevan. Quite like the bits about he wind and parlimentary fans.
