I can't wait for the proper season to start and would be pretty keen to watch some games down at the pub with some like minded people!

Places over the shore and the Cock n Bull have been thrown around.  I'm not sure about Cock n Bull.  Pretty much if there is rugby on they will be playing that.

I doubt Foxes would be playing Phoenix games?

Try get a pub onboard to show the games each week?!

Ideas!

Ditto: if anyone knows of an auckland pub with a big screen that's definitely going to be showing the phoenix game can you please post the info?  Me and two mates are keen to check out the game but dont want to end up sitting watching Re:Union or some bollox like that!

Another thread somewhere suggested the Cock n Balls New Market or Claddgh Bar in New Market. Fairly central to most. No idea if they will definitely be showing but suspect the Claddgh will (always EPL on when I go there). Good size venue should fit all 6 ex-Knightz fans...

I'm gonna be in the Claddagh middle of next week. If I remember, I'll scope them out about showing the 'Nix games.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Central Auckland Queensferry Vulcan Lane??  Shoreside, Mad Dogs and Englishmen in Milford.  Frankly need to scope this out.  Newmarket is easy to get to.  If you're not driving the Link bus is a paltry $1.20 or so.

I'm going to the Claddagh for the first game. Was going to Welly but we've lost two at work and I can't get the time off now. Claddagh has guiness and I know it is a football pub. ANd its not to fecking trendy.

Speakers Corner in Browns Bay would be an excellent venue. I know the owner and he said they will be showing the games anyway

Sounds like a few will be heading to the Claddagh...I think you should only be able to turn up to 2-3 home games in a row otherwise it's a sign that you are not making enough effort to get down to the ring of fire. All away games compulsory attenance at the pub.

So I won't be a "real" Phoenix fan if I don't show up to watch at a pub that will be a $50.00 cab fare each way? Piss off.

Quiet like the Claddagh, but they close when they feel like it.

The QF Tavern in Queen St, also sells Guiness cheaper, show all the football, close when the last man falls over and the staff are a laugh unlike the landlady at the Claddagh.

Chill out mate you can watch where want. I never said only "real" fans would be there and I only said compulsory attendance to get some enthusiasm for those fence sitters who might be inclined to stay home to help build some atmosphere. And I am always an advocate of drinking locally anyway. Put your taxi money on your local bar.

Only $50! I live in Pukekohe so it'll cost me a sh*tload more than $ 50 to cab it home from the Claddagh. If a few bodies are going in there regularly, I might just drive in and watch the odd game there.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Sorry geezer, missread your post and/or intentions.
I do intend getting to Wgtn at least once this season for a game or two.
But I certainly don't want to spend too much getting to and from the Claddagh from Te Atatu Peninsula, that'd cut into my airfares to Wgtn...
