There is some light on the Nix spot in the A_league ....... the following link is from "Theroar" nothing to do with Qld ......... but is a relatively new independent online media ... the article is written by Jessie Fink arguably the best blogg writer in Australia.

The second link I posted last week some time and it's gone from the YF site, but is the  same media group with a lot of good argument again from a well respected blogg writer.

I have no connection with this site other than I like independent media groups who are not aliened the traditional codes on the second link the argument was running in the Nix's favor but the argument is starting to swing to out with the Nix's ...no post that I can see from any YF posters ..... this site is read .

Anyway to maybe some new light the first link ....... the second link again I reckon is worth reading and posting ........ Also mods no idea why the original post was removed.

.....
Bizarre goings-on, as usual, in the Asian Football Confederation this week with AFC president Mohamed Bin Hammam doing a complete 360 on his stated opposition to a 39th round of the English Premier League in Asia....

........So much for that.

Now chief executive Ben Buckley is heading to the AFC Awards in Shanghai, scheduled to meet Hammam.

You can bet he will be returning home singing a markedly different tune.

Importantly, however, Buckley should take some encouragement from the fact that Hammam has demonstrated some pragmatism in this instance.

It shows that the whole issue of Wellington Phoenix being booted out of the A-League after 2011 is anything but a fait accompli and there must be some room for negotiation.

If Hammam really is fair dinkum about raising the quality of Asian football as he repeatedly insists he is, then he is doing a disservice to Australia, one of his most powerful allies, by eliminating a team that currently sits sixth in our national league.

Removing Wellington would be an act of utter stupidity and leave the A-League very much the poorer. Lets trust Hammam comes to his senses a second time around.
