Will the 'nix be making sony branded home shirts?
The current ones look pretty bare and I'd love a sony branded one. Want a home shirt the new ones look awesome, but want to wait for the sony ones. Anyone know when that will be?

yes. Your best bet is to go along to the Nix store when it opens this week. I'm guessing other places to sell through of their non-branded shirts before ordering the latest version.

I saw a large quantity of Nix shirts last week (sorry cant say were) and they didnt have the Sony logo on. I'd be guessing they would want to be getting rid of those before putting the Sony shirts on sale.

Just got a reply form the Phoenix about the Sony home shirts:
Dear Sean,
Sony home shirts will be available to purchase at the end of this week for our store which will be re-opening this coming weekend.
The address of the new store will be Ground Floor, 2 Hunter Street Wellington.
There will also be merchandise sold at the stadium on Sunday.

They're about $125, eh? I looked on the Phoenix store, but they still have Moss and bloody G** (of all people) on the selection list. Trust levels aren't high.

Just got an email reply from David Dome Marketing Manager to my enquiry about the store as follows:
Store is opening next Thursday (20th) for a special members only event. Keep an eye out for your In the Nix coming soon.
Will be open for
business as usual on Friday 21st

I just followed up with David on whether we could do this, and whether SONY shirts will be available (I don't want plain ones myself). Just got this reply from him:
We are not confident they will be here for Sunday. We are confident that Sony branded shirts will be there at the store launch on Thursday.
This doesn't answer the voucher issue of course - I'll enquire further.

Right after a few more emails I have clarified the position from David is as follows:
Phoenix themselves will only be selling SONY shirts. These will not be available in time for the game on Sunday they think, so it's likely the first time they can be purchased from them (ie using the vouchers) will be when the Phoenix Store reopens next Friday 21st or at the members only event the day before (Thursday 20th). The vouchers can be used at the stadium, but as there won't be any shirts this Sunday, could only be used for other merchandise.
This is not what most of us wanted to hear I reckon, but I prefer to know rather than keep on wondering ....... At least the logos should be put on properly this way I suppose - I was a bit concerned that a rush job could lead to peeling bits of SONY which would not be a good look for the money!

I also wonder whether the shirts will have to have a black rectangular box behind the SONY name which would perhaps mean the shirts will have to be made from scratch which would perhaps explain the long delay between SONY announcement and shirt availability??

ffs, how hard is it to open a the official store before the first game? This Thursday launch is useless to us out of towners.
Oh well, best check that my voucher will be still be valid in November.
Hopefully the branded home shirts will make it up to Auckland outlets and I can use the voucher on the away shirt.
