Let's see how the FFA Handle this one.

My bet is they will do their usual nothing because it's Newcastle!

Was interesting to note that SKY Sports had edited the incident, which happened when Talay was taking a corner in the 84th Minute of the game, out of their highlights package.

C-Diddy you spelt Newcastle wrong.

Correct spelling SCUMCASTLE

Socceroo/ Mariner / Whangarei

yea it was a complete joke when some peckerheads in our bay started throwing sh*t. 95% of us where doing the right thing and some peckerheads had to wreck it for all of us. Hope they tighten security next week.  And people in our bay will start listening to the Leaders for once

When Jardel saw the drinks coming onto the field he thought that maybe someone had thrown a pie or two as well so he raced to the corner. Only problem for Jardel was by the time he actually lugged his fat arse to the corner they had switched the lights off and everyone had gone home!!!

Are 12 year olds allowed to drink beer in Newcastle???

They do most other things so why not drink beer.

Kinda puts what happened in Welly into perspective though doesn't it. Wasn't only one bottle thrown? And it was after the match had ended?

Will be interesting to see if the FFA do anything,oh hold on they are allowed to fondle the linesman in public so nothing will done about offering  the opposition a drink as they are about to take a corner.

Heaving bottle cans and other guff at players is sh*t, plain and simple. When the bottle got hurled at the ref form the YF zone I am glad to see YF took and stand and said that it won't fly in our stadium .
Don't worry about FFA taking any action until it they feel like it, not before it gets out of hand and a ref or player gets injured.

When are the FFA going to start getting tough?

I can think of at least matches this season so far where objects have been thrown at either players and/or Match Officials (Sydney FC v Melbourne Victory, Wellington Phoenix v Central Coast Mariners, Newcastle Jets v Sydney FC)

What the fcuk are they scared of?

At the moment the FFA are like Supernanny and are making fans sit on the "Naughty Step" for 5 minutes so they can have a think about what they have done...

Hopefully, we have dealt with our problem. Rather than cover it up, we kept it out in the open and everyone has hopefully gotten the clear message sent from the majority.

It will be interesting ti see how the Australian clubs deal with their problem. Heads in the sand or pro-active?

I can't wait for our next home game to see if the lesson was learned.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Looks like all the warning signs are there and something needs to be done. As much as I hate to bring up rugby, remember a few years back when a kid ran onto the field and tried to tackle George Gregan, followed by those Vodafone streakers in Sydney. SANZAR did nothing and some idiot ran onto the field and attacked the referee.

I can see a similar sort of pattern here and if the "minor" stuff doesn't get stamped out soon, it will only escalate.
