Wouldnt start Brown just yet...Gao and Hearfield in the centre...if playing 4-4-2

Else we stick with the 4-2-3-1 thats working o so well..which would mean we have to start brown alongside johnson, with gao daniel and bertos ahead of them

Allegedly

IMO gao is in an out and out battle with daniel to start in a 4-4-2, and daniel gives more to the team with his assist ability than gao does with his huge trick ability

can't have enough ball winners to feed our wingers and TWO strikers (which we have previously lacked)

Phoenix Training as 42121 for about 2 months, its not that easy to give up this formation.

4 attacking mids? can't help us in the quest to stop leaking goals

Mulligan Durante Mckain Lochhead

                Ferrante
 Bertos
                                      Daniel
                   Gao

                 Hearfield

                  Smeltz

Maybe swap Hearfield for Kwasnik right upfront but Kwasniks been sh*t so far so probs not. Might be inclined to swap Mckain or Durante out for Dodd but we need all the leadership we can get so dropping Durante isn't really an option. Would sub Coveny on at some stage in a change of formation.

P.Inzaghi played with his huge nd huge trick ability for over 15 years around the world.
Its no question about he is a good player. The same as Rivaldo, R.Vanisterlooy, Henry, Owen...

I dont think 442 is not gonna happen, just be patient on the new formation, something did happen on the pre-season games isnt it?

You're being sarcastic right? Inzaghi's a goal poacher, no real class about his game.

daniels no slouch on the trick fron except his trick sh*t seems to lead to goals/opportunities more than gaos has...... i dont think dropping mckain is the answer although it could be argued that sigmund deserves the bench defensive spot...costas still unproven and would require a few solid appearances off the bench before he warrants a start

It is nota sarcastic for any of player trcik on the game, but when you focus on Inzaghi's game, foucs on how he run and why he always can sneak-raid, you will understand more than currently. I ve been watched no less than 50 Inzaghi's game from TV, even I hate him sometimes, but is no doubt that he is great player.

Hasn't Ricki (or maybe it was Durante) come out and said we are going to play 4-4-2 with two holding midfielders for the next couple of games..??

I'm sure I heard that somewhere, will look for a source.

I'm confident that if fit Brown can work alongside Daniel in midfield, with Bertos and Gao pushing wide.
Smeltz and Coveny upfront, and apparently Kwasnik is doubtful so all the more reason to have Costa on the bench.

Too many good players in the midfield, we must be watching a different team I've been watching the nix and spotting a single good player in midfield this year has been hard work. Reputations count for bugger all when you get out on the field.

My starting 11 is:-

               Moss

Mulligan   Dodd   Durante   Lochead

Hearfield McKain Ferrante Daniel

        Smeltz   Coveny

Bench
Paston
Brown
Gao
Christie

Tough leaving Gao out, but I think this is the nearest I've seen to getting it right. There's no way Brown can be a starter as others have mentioned. The only change I'd have here is swapping Dodd and McKain. Dodd's work rate in midfield is top class and he should stay there as was proven when he was missing from the side at Adelaide then came on for the repair job. Gives the other three mids a chance to get some space

I can't believe that all off season we talked about playing 4-2-3-1, we haven't put out that side and now we say we are going to stick with 4-4-2 for a couple of weeks. I really don't get that.

and On the bench: Paston, Bertos, Brown, Christie or one of Draper/Costa? Who do you put on when Covs has to come off?

Barbarouses no doubt, if not him then we move lei lei, hearfield or Bertos upfront, given  that Kwas is injured Draper would be fourth on my list of potential subsitutes for Covs
