So with the regular season concluded, here are some (hopefully) interesting stats.
Streaks
· Equaled most wins a row twice this season (4 wins)
· Equaled most away wins in a row twice (3 wins)
· Equaled longest undefeated streak but with 6 wins and a draw, compared to 6 draws and a win back in 2009-10
· Longest undefeated streak at home since 24 November 2010-16 October 2011 (9 home matches (record is 14)
· Most consecutive wins at Westpac since the 19 December 2010-16 October 2011 (5 wins)
· Longest undefeated away streak ever (4 matches (our next away match could make it 5)
Opposition Streaks
· The 3-1 New Year's Eve win over Adelaide ended a run of 4 consecutive defeats at Coopers Stadium with 4 goals for, 13 against.
· Phoenix are still waiting to beat Adelaide at Westpac Stadium (all 4 home wins against Adelaide have occurred in other stadiums.
· The 3-0 win over Brisbane was the first since December 2011, and just the second win at Westpac, and the second clean sheet.
· The shortened 2-1 win at Suncorp was the first away win against Brisbane at any venue.
· The 3-2 win over Central Coast in Round 26 ended a winless streak of 7 games at home against CCM. The last time the Phoenix beat the Mariners at home was a 2-0 win on 22 August 2010 (Paul Ifill scored a spectacular goal with the outside of his left foot)
· The 0-0 draw in Melbourne against City extended our undefeated run to 4 matches away to Melbourne.
· The 3-2 win over Victory at AAMI Park was the first away win ever, and ended a run of 6 losses in a row (in which 16 goals were conceded and only 5 scored)
· After beating Newcastle 8 times in a row at home over the years, the 2-2 draw at Hutt Rec meant we have just one win in the last 5 home matches against the Jets.
Miscellaneous
· Only two clubs have scored more goals at home than the Phoenix overall (Brisbane Roar scoring 15 to our 14, and Melbourne Victory scoring 22 to our 19)
· The Phoenix are officially the recipients of the 2014-15 Fair Play Award; the first proper award for the club.
Individual
· Glen Moss became the most capped Phoenix keeper of all time and, after the 0-0 draw in Melbourne against City, simultaneously became the keeper with the most clean sheets with 18 (overtaking Mark Paston) and the keeper with the most clean sheets in a season with 7 (overtaking Vukovic).
Attendance
· The total attendance for the 14 regular season home matches is 120,168 which accounts for 7.1% of the entire league's attendance. In comparison, Melbourne Victory's 355,436 accounts for 21%, and Sydney FC's 225,920 equals 13.4%. The two teams below the Phoenix (Newcastle and Central Coast) account for 12.7% combined. Interestingly, Perth's total attendance is only around 13,000 greater than Wellington's, despite Perth's superior population size and the fact that they spent the majority of the season at the top of the table.
· Our lowest attendance of the season (6,236) is higher than 5 other clubs' lowest totals for the season. Compared to other Phoenix seasons, only the 2007-08 season had a superior lowest total.
· The highest attendance per season for the Phoenix is as follows:
2009-10 - 173,639 (15)
2011-12 - 131,716 (15)
2010-11 - 120,238 (15)
2014-15 - 120,168 (14)
These include finals matches so this season will likely become the second biggest in terms of attendance after Sunday's match
