Storm causes Wgtn airport delays

For those of you not aware Wgtn has been struck by mini tornados and storms. I'm out at Plimmerton and the fire siren out here went solidly for over half an hour and my biggest pohutukawa at over 6meters tall almost snapped in half as it did circles trying to touch the ground. According to Stuff " while flights in and out of Wellington airport have been delayed indefinitely"

lol lucky the Phoenix left yesterday. Imagine what Bin Hammam wd say if we couldnt even get to australia for a match

A nightmare .. have just been up to Karori .. the summer league was playing at Ian Galloway ... when the rain, the wind, the hail and the tree branches started falling, you should have seen the mums and dads run for the cars!!!

Yeah I know... I cd have added it to the threads already up about travel but figured that for those it affects its fairly important so shd be obvious. It's still majorly gusting and the hail has started back up so the airport cd be having probs all night which then cause probs tomorrow and quite a few had flights out tomorrow morning

haha the first one at the start. It was of a big tree getting blown about and the rain coming down. Not that exciting.
