phil_style2007-05-09 07:41:18Pretty weird what u guyes are thinking. Plenty of people want to tlk about footy i agree. How about we get Dennis Katsanos since Uncle Steve and i sort of know him to introduce a discussion time on his football shows. Just like Deaker does with his guests. I rekon thats an awesome idea.

.phil_style2007-05-09 07:41:44Doing things detrimental to profile of the Phoenix will merely give them ammunition. If you wish to call talkback radio to discuss the Phoenix, do it with some valid points to discuss so it advertises the club properly rather than an embarassing hi-jack that will just give them ammunition to whine about 'typical football supporters'

phil_style2007-05-09 07:41:28There are definitely members of the media I know of who are in here regularly. Mostly they will be football people and take the rough with the smooth, but some may not, and rest assured those that are not will pick up the negative chances quicker than you can say Sean Sowerby (ask the Melbourne fans).
Organised campaigns to bombard talkback stations with one topic which we have planned days in advance in an attempt to promote our futile obsessions to a population base who doesn't really get it????
I let my guitar speak for me
Football doesn't get enough coverage, so the answer is to try and completely f**k over discussion of other sports? Sounds moronic to me.
btw I laughed at the 'moronic rugby supporters' comment. As the saying goes, rugby is a game watched by gentlemen and played by hooligans while football is a game played by gentlemen and watched by hooligans.

That kinda attitude is just gonna divide the support. The majority of people in NZ like rugby as their first sport. (it's pretty much part of our national identity, whether you like it or not)
