Maybe we could present some awards to players to show our acknowledgement to the players for all the hard work they have done win, loss or draw

Can I have an award?

Like a physical award presented on behalf of the fans who vote on here? I'm keen. I'm a season member so I get to vote on POTY anyway, but  I'm sure we could come up with other ideas as well such as the most commitment as mentioned earlier. I'd like to see something in an award for liasing with a fans, for the players who make the effort to mingle with the fans and get to know us.

I'd get behind any official Yellow Fever thank-you to everyone at WPFC - players, staff, all. Except the stewards.

I reckon something we could do that would blow the players away is to turn up  in our hundreds at the airport when they come back from the mariners game played on jan 19th

Win , lose or draw, - hundreds of us =  big thankyou to the players, ricki, terry and the backroom staff, and a  huge statement to the nz sports media and nz in general!!!!

top idea...

hold a vote for player of the year. prize can be a retro ricki signed by the fans, passed round the ground with a marker on the last game. frame it up and give to the winner.

I'd glady haul my butt down to the airport to welcome them back or wish them well as they leave. As soon as I see a time and date posted, it's going on the schedule

If they're Chelsea tops, they're probably glad of an excuse to take them off

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

The first time it happened was best. Mainly because of the pasty white things on the front page of the paper...

We should have some fans awards too:

Best chant
Most away games attended
Hottest Fever member (male)
Foxiest Fever member (female)
Most persistent stalker

(although maybe we don't want to encourage that one?)

Foxiest Female Member? Now that would be very tough. Despite my travels, I have yet to see so many attractive female fans anywhere else, than we have at the Nix. They are hot. I wish I ws 20 years younger !

WOOHOO, cheers Lonegunmen!

Seriously though, I reckon the people who made yellowfever deserve an award, as do Terry S, Tony P, Shane Smeltz, and Michael Ferrante.

My wife is an ardent football fan - Phoenix, Team Wellington, Brighton, even England.  She watches all my games and takes all the photos for the Summer League website. We once flew back to England for a weekend to see Brighton away at Port Vale. The only thing I haven't been able to get her to do is get a football tattoo.

How does it go... it's a hard road finding the perfect woman... don't settle for less robb!
