The crowd might be bigger if you could EASILY find out where to get tickets from the website/s

f**k students better be free as members we shouldnt have to pay for the preseason anyway....

8k was me being optimistic, how the tables have turned. I think the free kiddies may get some people going. As for regular season i still think 5-7k max

I emailed my entire office (and some of my suppliers) and have had a decent response too. A few were already going and some are going to go now that it's at the stadium. Im also picking the Thistle will be pretty full from 12. I got my Retro Ricky t-shirt too :-) Sizing is huge so if you're ordering online go for a size down.

It's an encouraging sign if they think that Newtown Park wont be able to cope with the amount of people expected to turn up to the game, because that suggests a large crowd.

Indeed Malky.  Might try and get 30-40 minutes in for Trentham at 11:00 if we're confirmed that early and then dash home for a shower...Backbencher by 12:20ish, providing Mrs. News is pleasantly disposed towards taxiing me there.

If Trentham kick-off at 11:30 I'll flag it and aim for 11:30ish at the pub. Hard News2007-07-18 16:23:27

Thats a really crap attitude. This is a supporters club, and if you are too tight to pay $10 to watch your team then you obviously aren't a supporter. Blow the cobwebs out of your wallet and stop whining. (yes Im a little angry at the moment due to all of these f'n ground changes).

Speaking to mates after indoor tonight, I honestly think that most of the people who have bought tickets think the game is at either the Basin or Newtown. There are gonna be some p*ssed of people when they turn up to the wrong place..

same here, most of the people I have talked to thought it was still at the basin, Is  phoenix going to do any advertising to let people know? or are they hoping word of mouth will get the message across

Radio adds tomorrow supposedly.

Everyone here needs to make sure they pass it on to everyone they know and make sure they do as well.

If someone fancies ringing Miles Davis tonight on Radio Sport to get him to make sure they are letting people know as well.

They should have made the game round 4ish. Clashes with Central League. I might actually have to miss an Olympic game for once.

The ref will be glad to hear about that.

I'm really looking forward to Sunday at Westpac.  I didn't fancy the Basin or Newtown Park.  I think our Phoenix desrve better venues than the Basin or Newtown Park!!!!! And as supporters so do we!!!!

Speak for yourself baldy. You'll find that a nice 2 tone syrup will sort that out (a la Paul Daniels) lovely.

Bring your wallet to the backbencher and I know where you can get a quality Yellow shirt at a reasonable price.

It's sad that people insist on them playing at the Westpac...I'll be there hoping that they do well, but the cake tin is soulless and they'll probably play bad music to try and pretend there is some sort of atmosphere in there....just like at the rugby!!

Where else are they going to play ?

The Basin is stuffed and Newtown barely holds 1000. The Stadium is it.

Get there, bring your singing voice and atmosphere the f**k out of the place.
