I have become unusually superstitious about the Phoenix over the past few weeks.

My newest one is that on Sunday afternoon just before setting off for the game I was playing the first Stones Roses album (which is a cool thing to do at anytime, of course).

When it got to the part in "She Bangs The Drums" where Ian Brown sings "Kiss me where the sun don't shine, the past was yours, but the future's mine, you're all out of time" I was like "f**k yeah, that's it!". I had this sudden rush of optimism and I knew right then that the Phoenix were going to win.

So now on Sunday 7 March I know I will have to play the Stone Roses first album again just before leaving (amongst some of the usual stuff like wear the same t-shirt etc).

What other superstitions are people currently putting themselves through?

Stand in a specific spot in the Fever Zone, which isn't quite my seat - then again I wasn't there in the semi and we still won (barely).

I like to go to the Backbencer.
I also don't like going without my Kwassie jacket. Even if its too hot for a jacket.
I blamed my black jeans for all the draws. So now its back to shorts.Stefan2010-02-22 17:28:16

Terminator - I was thinking yesterday morning of what would be a great mix of music to get pumped up for the game.

Any suggestions

Anyway - superstitions? Drink copious amounts of alcohol, before, during and after the match

Iced coffee on gameday and I change seats at HT. Yet to fail. Also I won't wear blue pants vs CCM or GC, since those + Retro Ricki = opposition colours.

I like to get amped up by listening to a particular bunch of tunes.
My pre-game playlist while walking to the pub is mostly based on the Euro 2004 official soundtrack, with a few faves added in:

Phoenix City    The Skatalites
Step Into My World    Hurricane #1
Supersonic    Oasis
Playground Superstar    Happy Mondays
Leap Of Faith    Unkle Feat. Joel Cadbury
Right Here, Right Now    Fatboy Slim
One More Time    Daft Punk
Hate To Say I Told You So    The Hives
Some Might Say    Oasis
Go With The Flow    Queens Of The Stone Age
Beautiful Day    U2
Song 2    Blur
Morning Glory (D Sardy Mix)    Oasis
You Get What You Give    New Radicals
Move Your Feet    Junior Senior
All Star    Smash Mouth
Swing, Swing    The All-American Rejects
Tubthumping    Chumbawumba
Soul Shake Down (Hotsnax Remix)    Bob Marley
Phoenix    Aquarian Dream [this one was played on one of the podcasts]
My Favourite Game    The Cardigans
Every Day's a Saturday    Elemeno P

Have to admit, the Stone Roses would fit in nicely there ...

I wear the same stuff I've worn pretty much all season. Though we've been playing better since I upgraded from '08 RR to '09 RR (sorry all!).

I wear RR (09), Stripey, Season Pass (yes, even on Sunday), jeans, and shoes. With Phoenix cap (swap for beanie in Winter) and scarf.

Always make sure the jeans and RR are clean. Last time I wore RR on a Friday, then to a following Saturday game, we ended up playing poorly.

That's not a bad playlist - just throw in the Stone Roses and, of course, Bring The Noise - Public Enemy! (which I also listened to before the game on Sunday. Better not forget that on 7 March either!).

Kill the 3 day old chicks and mix with the entrails of freshly caught fish.

Take five virgins and un-virginise them.

Annex a couple of neighbouring states and kill all the men and children

Have a shower and slip on my Nix City T

Get the family together and head on out.

Lucky shirt, scarf (to whirl in celebration, hide behind when it gets tense and hopefully never cry into because we've lost) but the bit that really freaks me out is the shirts off with 10 mins to go....how many times early on did the equaliser (and loss of 2 points) come in that last 10 mins?????

No sponsor phoenix season 1 home shirt.  Yellow Kelme's.  The rest isn't crucial but those two are.

Bringing someone along to the game. I've un-virginized quite a few Phoenix virgins this season.

+ face paint. It works!

I thought you lived in the Hutt? Where do you find five virgins in the Hutt?

Think I'm for another bout on the 7th, Sir

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

The black Who Are Ya? tee and bright yellow (or orange, depending who I ask) Adidas trainers in combo with the Levi 504's and scarf is a combination that has never failed. And so it shall remain.

Was it clean after 120 mins on Sunday (or during the penalty shootout)?
