I read the article on the front page of the DomPost today. I get the feeling that the Morrisons were preferring to keep this a family matter. However since Burgess has decided that this needs to be front page news then it's a good idea Gordinho.

Not knocking the tifo idea, if manageable that's great but just aware that it cost a packet last time, took a huge effort from many ...and the budget blowout!!. Most of you will have read the story about Lloyd Morrison's battle with cancer on the news page. Since hes now in the Phoenix family its important to let him know that we're supporting him and wishing him and his family all the best.
Maybe its not much but sometimes its just important to know that people care.

Hi all,
Just a note to everyone who has posted messages of support in here.
Rob Morrison called me today and asked me to let you know that Lloyd has been in here and read these messages, that they were very gratefully received, and to pass on both Lloyd and Rob's thanks for everyone's kind thoughts.
I'm not sure if I'm supposed to mention it, but Lloyd has apparently bought ten Phoenix shirts which is he going to give to the various medical staff who have supported him during his treatment. So there will be a little pocket of Yellow Fever on America's West Coast now!
Anyway. The overriding message was "wow, thanks" from the Morrison family.
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Hope it all goes well for you Lloyd....
It was a real big hearted thing you have done getting involved with keeping the Nix in Wellington....especially battling your illness at the same time. Your gesture means a lot to many Wellingtonians. Hope to see you one day in the fever zone......we will give you a warm welcome.
