It's ok... but not like a 30 degree day in Wellington ('83, '88 and '96 if I recall correctly lol)

So will be warm, but not as intense as the Kiwi sun, more humid tho...

You need to increase your fluid intake by at least suxty percent ;-)

And the Roar will be playing in their dark uniforms

Mind you, they'd be more acclimatised to it, but still, we'll be in white. Noice.

Our  Brazilians  should love it then !!

The answer to life's problems are rarely found at the bottom of a beer glass - but it's always worth a look.

Great opportunity to get your lads used to finals conditions.

Don't forget, the last Grand Final was played in 38 degrees..

Pity Daniel isn't playing. Would be a first to see him play without thermals under his shirt!

I seriously doubt that FIFA has a rule about tatts - there's heaps of players around whose tatts are clearly visible.

Would it have been better if they arrived in Qld earlier instead so they can get used to the conditions?

If you read the dominion post, that explains why they travelled today WellArdGerrard2007-10-04 19:05:03

I've read it. It also said they trained in about 2 degree celcius. That can't help them settle to the Qld heat.

Last Aussie pub I went into was up in Noosa. night cold beer in an airconditioned bar. mat & I had a few, felt fine, walked outside into the afternoon "warmth" and got an instant hangover. Was a long painful headache all the way back to Surfers!
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

No rule about tatts - materazzi's covered in them:

By the way that's his PIN number on his arm

Don't be so sure. Roar are a good attacking team and are ripe for a big performance. We'll do very, very well to get anything out of this game.

I'm here in Brisbane now, just got in this morning.

It's warm, which is fantastic after Wellington's miserable weather lately.
But it's not oppressively hot, I would say high 20s.

In fact I ran into some guys playing 5-a-side in the park and joined in with them.
Some handy defensive work on the part of yours truly helped us to a 9-5 win.
Wasn't too hot for me to play in, so I'm hopeful the Phoenix will be OK too.

Haven't seen any Retro Rickis or Roar kits around town.

Just off to the Caxton to meet the others now.
Will take my camera; hopefully will have some video of the crowd and the game for you all afterwards ....
