goood chant! - It will be nice to get some new ones going.

Has anyone heard how they are going to police the feverzone on saturday? Random ticket checks through the game or do you have to have tickets in it to actually even get in.

Suspect they will just target areas of crowding if they develop.

But let's hope they don't and everyone is just sensible.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Feverish and I were hoping to have a recording of that chant for everyone to put onto their iPod and listen to so that it would be easier to get it going at the game.

But seeing as we're both moderately alcoholic, it never happened.

So, you'll just have to work it out and learn it.  But let's hear it!!

Get into it.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Let's just beat them with our depleated team then laugh really hard at them and point and say things like "Sydney are sh*te"...

My brother has landed from Sydney, he likes getting to games early.  Haven't convinced him to convert to supporting the mighty Phoenix but he has got duty free.

My friend is Pippa is coming to the match. It's the first time she's ever, EVER,  been to a football match. Best bit is she's been doing some rudimentary research.

Some of her questions so far. "Can I make as much noise as I want?" "Do I need to bring beer and pies?" "Do I need to read a Nick Hornby book first?" "Is it OK to wear LOTS of YELLLLLOWWW?"

...I think she's got it!!!
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

YES!! MATCH DAY!!!

Our 11 year old lad has spent the last two hours wandering round the house with his scarf, banadana and yellow jacket on!

He was waggling the Phoenix clacker thing  -til we took it off him

Bring it on!!  - a few hours to go yet, but the excitement is just starting to simmer

CMON YOU NIX!!!!

saw four of the Sydney lads walking thought town last night. Hada yarn. Told them to expect a few Who Are Yas. They looked about 12. They were heading up towards the end of Cuba St - so hopefully some EMOs got hold of them

Tasteless, but HILARIOUS.

Anyone who can work out a Sydney version for today gets...a pat on the back.

Bah Daniel is out injured but on the plus there was nothing mentioned about Aloisi? Is he fit to play?

Everything is stacked against us butI still have faith the boys can get up.

Help! - "Daniel is out" - last i heard he was having a fitness test this am - have you got a source for this Valeo - (I'm hoping you'll say "no"!)

Aloisi isn't/wasn't in doubt as far as i know

There have been several articles leading up to this match that say Aloisi is still struggling with a back problem?
[edit] just read an article from yesterday and it says he's recovered. That's good.

And groin + hamstring problems don't exactly fix overnight so I really doubt whether Johnson and Daniel will play. If they do they'll struggle around the pitch.

you are right about all 3 lads carrying injuries that don't often come right quickly

i expect that given the thinness of the squad for this one, the club might ask Daniel and/or Johhno to grin and bear it for as long as they can

From memory there's been no mention of Aloisi's back injury this week, so hopefully it's sorted (at least 'til the close-season)

I was just a bit shocked to read your statement that "Daniel is out"" or words to that effect

i had a dream last night that we lost 6-1 Jack Pelter scored our only goal, a messy goalmouth -scramble affair

" and midfielders Richard Johnson (hamstring) and Ross Aloisi (back) were injury concerns."

source : http://www.theworldgame.com.au/a-league/index.php?pid=st&cid=99709

Posted 4 days ago. Were a couple more articles stating it too.

Obviously he's got over it during the week and he's fit to play now, though.

I had a dream we were down 4-3 with 5 mins to go! But I woke up before full time. And it was against Queensland, so all is well. It also didn't help that I was playing in defense...

fair enough Valeo,

to be honest I was far less concerned about the "how's aloisi" type question

than i was the "Daniel is out" statement

but hey, we'll no doubt be a whole lot clearer about things by about 5 to 7 NZ time

Let's hope we are both celebrating (what would be , under the circumstances, a bloody good) win about two hours after that.

I'm glad you and cosimo told us the 'source' of your information ,

Cosimo's sounds more like a nightmare than a dream!

On a different point, these evening kick-offs in the weekend make for a loooongg day - bring it on!!

OK - Feverish has issued a decree that we all learn our new anthem for tonight:

We're the Phoenix
We're the Phoenix
We're the Phoenix FC
Fron the ashes
From the ashes
From the ashes are we

Learn it, love it

I can't understand any of that - fcuking northern monkeys (although as ManUre fans they are probably from Surrey).

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight
